- To manage a business function, providing significant input to function wide strategic initiatives. Contribute to and influence policy and procedures for the function and plan, manage and consult on multiple complex and critical strategic projects, which may be business wide.
- They manage the direction of a large team or sub-function, leading other people managers and embedding a performance culture aligned to the values of the business. Or for an individual contributor, they lead organisation wide projects and act as deep technical expert and thought leader, identifying new ways of working and collaborating cross functionally. They will train, guide and coach less experienced specialists and provide information affecting long term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions.
- Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function, offering significant input to function wide strategic initiatives.
- Manage, coordinate and enable resourcing, budgeting and policy creation for a significant sub-function.
- Escalates breaches of policies / procedure appropriately.
- Foster and guide compliance, ensure regulations are observed that relevant processes in place to facilitate adherence.
- Focus on the external environment, regulators, or advocacy groups to both monitor and influence on behalf of Barclays, when appropriate.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division / Group to achieve the overall business objectives.
- Maintain broad and comprehensive knowledge of industry theories and practices within own discipline alongside up-to-date relevant sector / functional knowledge, and insight into external market developments / initiatives.
- Use interpretative thinking and advanced analytical skills to solve problems and design solutions in often complex/ sensitive situations.
- Exercise management authority to make significant decisions and certain strategic decisions or recommendations within own area.
- Negotiate with and influence stakeholders at a senior level both internally and externally.
- Act as principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions/ businesses divisions.
- Mandated as a spokesperson for the function and business division.

Contribute to the development and transformation of Global Market with a specific focus on trading and Sales Fixed Income and Commodities (FIC) activities in the region by:

- Proven track record in global markets-related roles
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance-related fields or higher
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Fluency in written and spoken Korean would be an advantage
- Project management skills and experience
- Strong understanding of the global markets’ environment, in particular, knowledge of FIC products and OTC products. Experience in global markets trading tool will be a plus.

As an Asset & Liability Management Specialist at OCBC, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the bank's financial stability and sustainability. You'll work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies that optimize our balance sheet, manage risk, and drive business growth. You'll work closely with various stakeholders to identify opportunities to optimize our asset and liability mix, manage liquidity and interest rate risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You'll need to be proactive, analytical, and able to communicate complex ideas effectively.
What you do
Market Experience
- Report to the Head of Money Market, the successful candidate will contribute to the HK Region revenue generation while adhering to the liquidity, market, and regulatory risk matrix.
- Proficient in running ALM gapping risks using money market instruments.
- Firm grasp of HKD and CNH liquidity dynamics and be able to generate alpha from FX swap risk taking.
- Experience operation in the repo and futures instruments is a plus but not absolute necessary. However, the successful candidate will be expected to use these instruments to improve P/L.
- Good understanding of the balance sheet of a commercial bank.
- Experienced and proficient in managing liquidity ratios.
- Experienced and proficient in managing the market risks limits relevant to the money market desk.
- Experienced and proficient in managing the daily cash positions.
- Good understanding of FTP practice is highly appreciated.
- Assist Head of Money Market and Head of ALM with management meeting preparations.
- A degree in business related disciplines, Maths or Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in asset and liability management, risk management, or a related field
- Self-motivated, the successful candidate should be resourceful to hunt for market opportunities to deliver P/L.
- Critical thinking and analytical aptitude are highly appreciated.
- An excellent communicator to work well with other stakeholders within Global Markets as well as other business partners within the Bank.
- Basic understanding of Python programming is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have over 7y of experience in interest rates Trading on Asia currencies, and proven track record in developing a platform. This role will play a key part in supporting and expanding our growing Global Macro trading Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the strategy and expand the IR Volatility business in Asia currencies
- Price and Risk manage the positions associated with the activity and work closely with the rest of the team in the risk management of the rest of the IR trading books

Job Description:
This job is responsible for the reporting, analysis, and monitoring applicable market related risks taken within a specific product area. Key responsibilities include analysis of model risk, analysis and reporting of market risk, distributing the market risk reports, and interfacing with the trading desk and other risk and support groups (i.e., Compliance, Finance, Operations, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financing proposals put forth by the Asia Distressed and Special Situations Desk with independent views on credit/structure/collateral and other risks
- Analyze issuer risk limit proposals put forth by APAC Global Markets with independent views on the credit, market liquidity, trading velocity and other risks
- Monitor Asia Distressed and Special Situations Desk trading activity and act as an effective review and challenge function, while setting appropriate position/ portfolio level limits to manage credit and market risks
- Assess the credit risk exposure evolving with individual credits as well as the Asia Distressed and Special Situations Desk portfolio as a whole with a view to prepare Credit Memos/ Portfolio risk reports on a regular basis
- Prepare risk reports and provide updates to various forums/calls on a regular basis on the portfolio
- Provide timely analysis and commentary on issuer risk across APAC to various stakeholders including the front office, country risk executives and other Risk groups
- Work with GVG/Finance and other support departments to keep a strict vigil on the marks and furnish credit views in discussions
- Review the credit and market risk feeds and sign off to ensure accurate and timely reporting of credit and market risk in various bank systems. Participate in designing specifications and test new feeds/systems
- Participate in various New Product/Transaction approval forums
- Participate in review and approval of the credit risk and issuer risk policies and procedures
- Participate in various business control committees to highlight risk arising from the activities within the region
- Candidates will typically have over 5 years of fundamental credit analysis experience, with wide coverage across corporates, financial institutions and sovereigns preferred. The position can be suitably upgraded to suit candidates with higher experience if there is genuine interest and there is a good fit
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in analyzing distressed/special situation/structured credits and with a background in market risk management.
- Have excellent writing, presentation and spreadsheet analysis skills
- Have a positive orientation and an ability to work in a fast paced environment/multi-task under pressure.
- Have a good academic record with commensurate graduate/post-graduate degrees from recognized institutions
