Responsibilities

As a Global Markets Business Manager, you will:

Contribute to the development and transformation of Global Market with a specific focus on trading and Sales Fixed Income and Commodities (FIC) activities in the region by:

  • Sponsoring or leading key Global Market FIC projects that have a strong impact on clients.
  • Accompanying regulatory changes impacting our businesses
  • Maintaining the alignment of Global Market objectives with those of support and control functions (Operations, Legal, Compliance)

Continuously improve the efficiency of the Global Market in Asia set-up by:

  • Optimizing our client base and the services provided to them
  • Identifying and delivering simplification initiatives in collaboration with our partners
  • Streamlining and automating our processes through the development of new tools.

Ensure the Global Market businesses are properly run, controlled, and protected by:

  • Securing the framework of our commercial franchise/ Identifying areas of operational risks and taking corrective actions to remediate them.
  • Monitoring and supporting the FIC activity for Global Market Asia: Providing advisory and guidance on new transactions, new products, and new set-up, and ensuring compliance with rules and guidelines applicable to trading mainly.

This is a full-time, 12-months Agency-Temp contractor position. To be eligible, please ensure you will be available to work full-time for the entire duration of the contract.

Required

Profile required

  • Proven track record in global markets-related roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance-related fields or higher
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. Fluency in written and spoken Korean would be an advantage
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Strong understanding of the global markets’ environment, in particular, knowledge of FIC products and OTC products. Experience in global markets trading tool will be a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking operation and governanc

Department Description

The Global Markets Business Manager office (MARK/BMO) aims at helping the Global Market team’s development and at the same time preventing operational risks. MARK/BMO plays a pivotal role in coordinating with Support and Control functions in Finance, IT, Operations, Risks, Compliance and Legal. A successful candidate will be expected to run day-to-day operations while also delivering on business-critical key projects, such as new business, regulations, or transformation. The Business Management Office focuses on building, managing & optimizing all processes from pre-trade and post-trade. It ensures the best service is offered to Global Market clients by monitoring, reviewing and transforming existing processes. It also provides the Global Market management with relevant tools and indicators to ensure the efficiency of the commercial set-up.

Job Description

The Global Markets In-Business Risk (IBR) is a Front Office 1st Line of Defense team responsible for market risk across asset classes within Citi’s Global Markets division. The team aims to establish a holistic understanding of market risk and capital of the aggregated trading portfolio, as well as to optimize the business’s return on capital. Global Markets IBR covers all trading businesses globally such as Rates and Currencies, Global Spread Products, Commodities, and Global Equities. The main focus of this role is on cross-asset portfolio risks arising from markets business/trading activities in APAC.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify key market risk within Markets’ trading inventory, focusing on APAC, with consideration of key market themes and environments through data analysis. Communicate results daily with the head of IBR and trading heads. Help design appropriate hedging strategies as needed.
  2. Monitor performance of products within Global Markets regularly, understand drivers of market movements across asset classes, analyze trends to form relative value and forward-looking views of risks.
  3. Understand risk framework including risk appetite, limits, and capital allocation to optimize risk and return, especially in APAC.
  4. Build holistic risk understanding including implications on stress losses, Value-at-Risk, etc.
  5. Support analysis of return on capital and risk appetite ratios for the business.
  6. Collaborate with risk teams to set and monitor risk limits across businesses.
  7. Enhance risk governance and regulatory compliance, focusing on APAC, and assist with regulatory inquiries.
  8. Work with technology teams to develop risk monitoring frameworks and propose optimization strategies.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Trading/Structuring/Research or Data Analysis with a focus on Market Risk management.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, equity markets, and product structuring/trading is advantageous.
  • Cross-asset class product and market knowledge is important.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, with an interest in markets and trading.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Interest Rate Trader , with Experience in Interest volatility market making to join our Global Macro Trading Team. The ideal candidate will have over 7y of experience in interest rates Trading on Asia currencies, and proven track record in developing a platform. This role will play a key part in supporting and expanding our growing Global Macro trading Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy and expand the IR Volatility business in Asia currencies
  • Price and Risk manage the positions associated with the activity and work closely with the rest of the team in the risk management of the rest of the IR trading books
  • Work with the rest of the team in developing projects such as Electronic market making
  • Work closely with Sales Teams on Maintaining Client Relationships and producing Trading Ideas
  • Keep updated on Interest Rate Market trends and developments
  • Identify and capitalize on trading opportunities and trends

Qualifications & Experience

  • BS Degree holder in Science, Engineering or Business
  • 7y+ years of experience in Rates Trading with relevant volatility market making experience in both vanilla and ideally light exotics.
  • Experience in G10 rates electronic market making.
  • Good understanding of local Banking and Global Markets regulations

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and team playing skills

Job Description:

Responsible for the analysis, monitoring, and management of market risk taken in Equities business for APAC region. The GMR Manager will primarily interface with the trading desk and other risk and support groups (i.e. Compliance, Finance, Operations, etc.). Product knowledge and quantitative skills are necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Closely monitor the activities in Asia Equities desks, and identify key risks in the portfolio
  • Perform daily market risk signoff, produce risk reports and commentary, and highlight key risks to senior managers
  • Perform effective challenges on risk exposure, and deep-dive analyses on market events, business activities, etc.
  • Communicate with the trading desks on a regular basis to discuss risks and activities, and promote a culture of risk awareness
  • Work closely with support partners, and participate in New Product Review and other governance forums
  • Work together with the Global Markets Risk team on Global projects
  • Understand the equities markets (esp. in the APAC region), and keep abreast of market news, regulatory changes and developments in the industry which might impact our business

Required Skills:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience preferred. Candidates with less experience will be considered as AVP.
  • Quantitative academic background.
  • Familiar with equity products, including derivatives
  • Familiar with equities markets
  • Understand key risk metrics (VaR, Greeks, etc.)
  • Curious about the business, the markets, and the risk. Willing to keep on learning new things.
