Job Responsibilities

  • Work directly with issuer clients in tandem with industry / country teams to develop a deep understanding of their company business models, financial metrics, management teams, and projected future performance
  • Analyze the suitable investor universe for each transaction and speak to investors as part of the outreach process and execution
  • Support in the preparation of transaction marketing and process materials
  • Process coordination from deal launch to signing, in close cooperation with the client, its advisers and other internal and external parties, including investor outreach, active communication with investors / management, and overall transaction management
  • Given the team’s high deal flow and its flat hierarchical structure, you will perform a great variety of tasks, including many opportunities to “step-up”
  • You will experience training, hands-on learning opportunities, continuous mentoring and feedback, and numerous development opportunities
  • You will develop strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking with the aim to become a senior client executive who is capable of generating and executing your own transactions

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • 3 years of full time investment banking or buyside experience
  • Keen interest in private capital markets, minority equity and structured transactions. Interest in how minority transactions work including shareholder and governance agreements
  • Desire to work across markets and sectors and have exposure to lots of different types of transactions
  • Proficient technical ability and overall corporate finance proficiency. The role will require flexibility to work across the capital spectrum and be exposed to new and creative structures
  • Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals and clients
  • Ability to take ownership across a transaction, with exposure to industry, country, and other internal and external partners
  • Ability to show initiative and support across several transactions in parallel, managing time appropriately across competing demands
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
  • A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics or a related field.
  • Fluency in Mandarin language skills to liaise with Chinese speaking stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

  • Prior experience in private capital raising be it equity / equity-link or debt / leveraged finance, M&A execution or buyside
  • Prior experience in communicating with buyside investors

Supporting the investment banking team in day-to-day work regarding pitching and transaction execution.

Key Task Including

  • Leading and coordinating on IBD project execution

The Ideal Candidate

As part of Keyrus’ solution delivery, we are also in a position to recruit and place technical consultants to complement on existing client projects with their expertise. As such, we seek innovative and agile people to support ambitious and forthcoming technological challenges.

We are seeking a strong Application Support in Hong Kong to join and support our client's Prime Services Production Support team, providing global application support in a fast-paced, trade floor environment. This role involves close collaboration with front office, developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure stability of front-office applications by handling daily operations, enhancing monitoring tools, automating tasks, and conducting system checks with global teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with trading desk heads and technology managers to align on priorities and solutions.
  • Service Implementation: Support rollout and maintenance of new services; plan and execute production changes to minimize risks.
  • Incident Management: Serve as first contact for incidents, lead resolution efforts, manage communications, conduct reviews, and document known issues and workarounds.
  • Global Collaboration: Coordinate with global teams under a 'follow the sun' model, participate in disaster recovery drills, and support on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in investment banking applications
  • Experienced with Java, Kafka, Python, and Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL Service Management
  • Proficient in SQL and Shell scripting
  • Hands-on with UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms
  • Familiar with Autosys, ITRS Geneos, and Dynatrace
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology

The Quality Control (International) team (“QC”) of the Investment Banking Department reports to the Global Head of Quality Control and the Head of Investment Banking Department (International). QC provides technical support and assist in effectively monitoring and controlling business risks of the Investment Banking Department. You will be responsible for improving the execution quality of Hong Kong and overseas investment banking business by conducting independent review of various transaction documents and due diligence.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, maintaining and improving internal quality control policy and framework, transaction approval process and the relevant IT system.
  • Reviewing due diligence performed by deal teams and the underlying due diligence record.
  • Reviewing and approving various transaction documents.
  • Assessing the regulatory and business risk of investment banking transactions, and reporting to senior management where necessary.
  • Organizing and participating in internal committee meetings which consider the acceptance and launch of investment banking transactions.
  • Conducting research, internal statistics and other ad-hoc tasks as required from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant working experience in global investment banks, law firms or big four audit firms with knowledge of various financial products and regulations of the capital markets and securities companies in Hong Kong and overseas.
  • Experience in overseas capital markets is a plus.
  • Good communication and coordination skills, with excellent team spirit, conscientious and meticulous, strong sense of responsibility and stress tolerance.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin, using English and Mandarin as working language.
