The new 373-room Dorsett Hotel flagship is inspired by the location’s dreamy Marina lifestyle and the ocean. Catering to both leisure and longer-staying business travellers alike, our suites offer pantry and light cooking facilities, and interconnecting options. Dorsett Kai Tak features two Presidential Suites, each with its own private terrace and the Presidential Harbour View Pool Suite housing its own 10m lap pool. Other hotel facilities include an outdoor rooftop bar and pool, 100 square metre fitness centre, and double-height ceiling grand ballroom.
For the guest arriving from the cruise terminal, the Hotel will offer a smooth transition to an atmosphere that echoes the magical time at sea; for the staycation patron, the Hotel will give the opportunity to dream of a Marina lifestyle without leaving Hong Kong
Responsibilities
- Monitor all front desk personnel to ensure guests receive prompt, cordial attention and personal recognition
- Daily preparation of amenities, accurate room allocation to ensure Owners, VIP’s, Special attention guest and all important clients receive prompt and cordial key service elements prior to their arrival
- Maximize occupancy, revenue and average rate while maintaining high service standards
- Responsible for the managing and supervising all front desk staff
- Performs any other reasonable duties as required by the Management from time to time.
- Degree holder in Hotel/ Hospitality Management
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience, with 2 years at supervisory level in hotel industry
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Mature, independent, proactive, service- oriented and attentive to detail
- Service oriented with pleasant personality
- Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin and Chinese

Every Day Is Different, But You’ll Mostly Be
- Delivering a bespoke staying experience based on Kimpton Guest Journey, recognizing guests as unique individuals
- Executing Kimpton’s unique approach to guest engagement, creating memorable experiences that inspire guest loyalty
- Assisting the Manager in overseeing the daily operation, striving for service excellence, and building relationships to enhance guest satisfaction
- Performing supervisory duties relevant to Front Desk, Guest Relations and Guest Service Centre such as check-in/check-out, lobby duty, cashiering and handling all incoming calls
- Mastering various communication channels to ensure guests’ requests are promptly and professionally handled
- Providing supervision and on-the-job training to new colleagues
- Handling guest comments and complaints with tact in accordance to the hotel’s policies and procedures
- Addressing potential problems by reviewing and monitoring operational issue and business flow
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a hotel front office or guest services
- A bachelor’s degree in hotel management or equivalent
- Proactive, agile, creative, charming and joyful
- Strong supervisory, organising and problem solving skills
- Great team player with strong service mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Always striving for service excellence, anticipatory, discreet and detail-oriented
- Experienced in using Opera, Microsoft Office Suite, Quore, JDS
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) are essential, both spoken and written; knowledge of other languages is a plus

A little taste of your day-to-day
Every Day Is Different, But You’ll Mostly Be
- Delivering a bespoke staying experience based on Kimpton Guest Journey, recognizing guests as unique individuals
- Executing Kimpton’s unique approach to guest engagement, creating memorable experiences that inspire guest loyalty
- Assisting the Manager in overseeing the daily operation, striving for service excellence, and building relationships to enhance guest satisfaction
- Performing supervisory duties relevant to Front Desk, Guest Relations and Guest Service Centre such as check-in/check-out, lobby duty, cashiering and handling all incoming calls
- Mastering various communication channels to ensure guests’ requests are promptly and professionally handled
- Providing supervision and on-the-job training to new colleagues
- Handling guest comments and complaints with tact in accordance to the hotel’s policies and procedures
- Addressing potential problems by reviewing and monitoring operational issue and business flow
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a hotel front office or guest services
- A bachelor’s degree in hotel management or equivalent
- Proactive, agile, creative, charming and joyful
- Strong supervisory, organising and problem solving skills
- Great team player with strong service mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Always striving for service excellence, anticipatory, discreet and detail-oriented
- Experienced in using Opera, Microsoft Office Suite, Quore, JDS
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) are essential, both spoken and written; knowledge of other languages is a plus
