Join our Equity Derivatives and Trading team as Global Head of Equity Finance and Trading Credit Risk Management. Our Equity Finance business provides clients with synthetic equities exposure, financing solutions and securities borrow and lending services across the major global equity markets.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 5 days a week in our office location.

What role will you play?

As an experienced leader, you will drive a sophisticated credit risk management function within Equity Finance and Trading to safeguard and support the growth of the synthetic equity and securities financing business. You will develop and execute the overall credit risk strategy and lead a high-performing team.

You will be responsible for identifying, assessing and mitigating credit risks associated with our clients including hedge funds and financial institutions. This will include the monitoring and reporting of credit risk exposures across all client portfolios and conducting in-depth credit analyses. You will be required to interact with external clients and counterparties, including senior management, such as CIOs, COOs and Heads of Risk.

Working closely with Macquarie’s Credit Risk team, you will make recommendations for onboarding, credit limits and margining agreements and act as the central point of contact for the business on all credit related matters with clients, counterparties, regulators and internal stakeholders.

What You Offer

  • 10+ years’ experience from a Prime Brokerage risk role including management of the hedge fund client business and detailed knowledge of equity swap and SFT products
  • Advanced analytical skills covering credit risk modelling, stress testing and scenario analysis
  • Detailed knowledge of industry best credit practices across hedge fund reporting, legal documentation (ISDA, CSA), margining and portfolio monitoring
  • Detailed understanding of credit risk regulatory frameworks
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with minimum 1 year experience

  • Strong customer centricity, continuous improvement mindset
  • Results oriented; flexible and demonstrate a resourceful attitude
  • A self-starter and team player; ability to manage multiple activities of different natures in a condensed timeframe
  • Fluent in English; excellent verbal and written communication skills, embraces culturally diverse interpersonal relationships
  • Experience in reporting & analytical tools, knowledge in AX, Insight & Essbase is a plus

  • Develop and present high-quality board papers and presentations on financial performance.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and compelling financial presentations to executives and stakeholders, translating manufacturing financials into strategic insights.
  • Create executive dashboards and ad-hoc reports to support operational efficiency and profitability improvements.
  • Present financial results and forecasts in a way that aligns with manufacturing KPIs and business objectives.
  • Work closely with Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, and Business Units to align financial plans with production goals and cost control initiatives.
  • Drive digitization within the FP&A organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
  • 8+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or cost accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred (e.g., cost accounting, production finance, supply chain finance).
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex modeling).
  • Proficiency in BI tools (e.g. Power BI) and ERP systems (e.g. Oracle) with experience in manufacturing modules.
  • Knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) with exceptional communication and storytelling abilities.
  • Strong presentation skills (PowerPoint/Google Slides) for executive audiences.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Officer, Product specialist (Cards Portfolio Management) is an intermediate level position responsible for driving the growth and profitability of product by developing and executing strategic initiatives, marketing campaigns, and ensuring superior customer experience. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to acquire new users, risk management, revenue optimization while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Assess relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies to improve client experience and portfolio growth
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support managing end to end card product lifecycle, including pricing, features and promotions
  • Provide insight and recommendations on innovative product development, product targeting, and segmentation strategies as well as oversee aspects of product development life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
  • Provide insight and execute on core marketing disciplines such as product development, price, promotions, platform and pillars, launching, and marketing to improve client experience and portfolio growth
  • Work closely with marketing teams to design and execute campaigns to drive adoption of fee paying services / features
  • Project manage product enhancement projects which includes gathering business requirement, reviewing test plan, verify test results and monitor post launch performance, while adhering to internal governance and policy requirement.
  • Manage Work closely with technology and operations to manage product enhancements projects from providing business requirement
  • Participate in budgeting and planning for strategic priorities and initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Cross functional knowledge (e.g. marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, analytics)
  • Ability to drive business innovation, leverage management information, and utilize data analytics to drive results
  • Experience in UAT/ PAT testing, working with technology
  • Demonstrated knowledge in managing KPI and good financial acumen
