IP & Contract Management: Protect overseas intellectual property; formulate SEP patent pool operation strategies; lead overseas patent offensive/defensive strategies for core technologies (e.g., ADAS, V2X). Draft, review, and manage foreign contracts (primarily in English); optimize contract templates for multi-jurisdictional legal environments.
Dispute Resolution: Lead responses to overseas litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations; coordinate internal/external resources to develop response strategies.
Team Management & Training: Lead the legal team; manage external law firms and budgets. Conduct regular compliance training to enhance business teams’ legal risk awareness.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law; passed the National Legal Qualification Exam. Legal qualifications in common law jurisdictions (e.g., US/UK) preferred.
Experience: 8+ years in multinational corporations or law firms; solid international legal expertise; familiarity with major overseas legal systems. Experience in automotive/IoT technology industries and management roles preferred.
Skills: Proficient in English contract drafting/negotiation; multi-jurisdiction compliance management capability; hands-on experience in international trade dispute resolution; independent handling of common law IP litigation; knowledge of tariff planning tools.

What you’ll do:
- Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, this position supports key business and customer initiatives of the company.
- Provide legal support on key functional and operational areas such as contracting, intellectual property, payments, licensing and other regulatory matters.
- Collaborate with product, marketing and business teams to ensure compliance in product development and business initiatives.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in reputable law firms and/or MNCs; experience working with startup companies or in an entrepreneurial environment a plus. More experienced candidates will be considered for the position of Managing Counsel.
- Experience in tech, e-commerce and/or customer trust related matters.
- Experience with the US and/or Europe a plus.
- Flexible and hard-working, with a can-do attitude, practical and solution driven.
- Analytical and commercially minded, fast learner and tech savvy.
- Good communication skills and ability to manage business partners and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage projects independently and work under pressure.
- Fluent in English; Chinese language skills a plus

Responsibilities:- Supervise legal team to support business operations
- Provide legal advice on all aspects of corporate/commercial perspectives including commercial contracts and agreements, corporate compliance, corporate transactions, business establishment, trademark and employment matters
- Prepare and review legal documents
- Handle internal legal enquiries
- Lawyer with at least 2 years of PQE commercial experience or experienced legal executive with at least 7 years of corporate in-house experience
- Sound legal background with substantial knowledge in Hong Kong law
- Working knowledge in the PRC law would be a plus
- Independent, strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
