We are seeking a Legal Director to help the group establish and lead a global legal compliance system, ensuring business compliance across global jurisdictions, supporting the implementation of overseas business strategies, and mitigating legal risks in international operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Support: Provide professional legal advice and recommendations for overseas business development and decision-making. Lead the legal structuring for overseas localized production. Address regional market access certifications (e.g., FCC/CE), and evaluate/manage risks from a legal perspective.

Business Support: Provide legal risk assessments and solutions for overseas company establishment, business model structuring, import/export tariff optimization, customs audit responses, etc. Oversee H-share (Hong Kong) IPO structure alignment, legal rectification, legal sections of prospectuses, regulatory communication, and ESG compliance.

Compliance System: Identify and monitor overseas business risks; develop compliance policies; establish a regulatory pre-research mechanism for autonomous driving and automotive regulations. Lead AI algorithm compliance certification. Implement end-to-end legal oversight from R&D to sales, with a focus on auto-grade hardware certification and functional safety (ISO 26262) legal adaptation.

IP & Contract Management: Protect overseas intellectual property; formulate SEP patent pool operation strategies; lead overseas patent offensive/defensive strategies for core technologies (e.g., ADAS, V2X). Draft, review, and manage foreign contracts (primarily in English); optimize contract templates for multi-jurisdictional legal environments.

Dispute Resolution: Lead responses to overseas litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations; coordinate internal/external resources to develop response strategies.

Team Management & Training: Lead the legal team; manage external law firms and budgets. Conduct regular compliance training to enhance business teams’ legal risk awareness.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law; passed the National Legal Qualification Exam. Legal qualifications in common law jurisdictions (e.g., US/UK) preferred.

Experience: 8+ years in multinational corporations or law firms; solid international legal expertise; familiarity with major overseas legal systems. Experience in automotive/IoT technology industries and management roles preferred.

Skills: Proficient in English contract drafting/negotiation; multi-jurisdiction compliance management capability; hands-on experience in international trade dispute resolution; independent handling of common law IP litigation; knowledge of tariff planning tools.

Soft Skills: Strong commercial acumen; logical, rigorous, and results-driven; excellent cross-cultural communication; adaptable to frequent international collaboration and travel.

Language: Fluent professional English (TOEFL 110+/IELTS 7.5+ or equivalent proficiency).

• Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, this position supports key business and customer initiatives of the company.
• Provide legal support on key functional and operational areas such as contracting, intellectual property, payments, licensing and other regulatory matters.
• Collaborate with product, marketing and business teams to ensure compliance in product development and business initiatives.
