  • Familiar with the compliance permits required at each stage of a manufacturing industry/factory/fabrication.
  • Knowledgeable in NFPA, SEMI, and FM standards relevant to semiconductor FABs or the manufacturing industry.

  • Detail-oriented, self-driven and able to work with minimal guidance.
  • Language proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

Environmental, Health & Safety Officer (REF: QSE/EHSO)

Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the preparation and review of Environmental, Health Safety (EHS) management system documentation including job hazard analysis and risk assessment reports, EHS management plans, EHS instructions, etc.
  • To coordinate, plan, implement and report the EHS inspections, internal and external audits of the assigned projects or operating sites on a regular basis.
  • To improve the EHS standards and recommend corrective and preventive actions for malpractices identified.
  • To carry out investigation of any incident and accident, prepare investigation reports and make recommendations on prevent any recurrence.
  • To plan, organize and perform various EHS trainings and promotions for staff and workers. The training shall include EHS induction training, tool box training and other specific trainings as required from time to time.
  • To carry out other reasonable duties as required from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree holder or above in Science / Engineering / Safety disciplines
  • A Registered Safety Officer of the Labour Department with practical experience in construction industry of at least 2 years.
  • Experience in public works or housing contracts is preferable
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Immediately available is preferred
