What Will You Do?

  • Coaches, counsels and disciplines team members providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.

  • All room types, numbers, layout, decor, appointments and location.
  • All room rates, special packages and promotions.
  • Daily house counts and expected arrivals/departures/VIP’s.
  • Room availability status for any given day.
  • Scheduled in-house group activities, locations and times.
  • All hotel and departmental policies and procedures/ LQA and Forbes Standards.
  • When on Overnight Shift, proceeds Night Audit, prepares and save/send all necessary reports as requested, checks and searches arrivals’ profiles and input in Opera, and prepares Mondrian Hotel News for all departments.
  • Monitor check-in/check-out process; anticipate critical situations and assist wherever necessary to help alleviate the pressure and to process guests efficiently.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Experience: Minimum three years experience as a Duty Manager, preferably in a luxury hotel
  • Proficiency in using PMS Opera and other relevant software applications.
  • Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese as a priority. Additional language skills are an advantage.

As part of the Equity Derivative Front Office Technology team, you will oversee all agents in the pre-trade lifecycle. Each developer is responsible for:

  • Providing timely support on our software for Exotic and Volatility desks

The new 373-room Dorsett Hotel flagship is inspired by the location’s dreamy Marina lifestyle and the ocean. Catering to both leisure and longer-staying business travellers alike, our suites offer pantry and light cooking facilities, and interconnecting options. Dorsett Kai Tak features two Presidential Suites, each with its own private terrace and the Presidential Harbour View Pool Suite housing its own 10m lap pool. Other hotel facilities include an outdoor rooftop bar and pool, 100 square metre fitness centre, and double-height ceiling grand ballroom.
For the guest arriving from the cruise terminal, the Hotel will offer a smooth transition to an atmosphere that echoes the magical time at sea; for the staycation patron, the Hotel will give the opportunity to dream of a Marina lifestyle without leaving Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the front desk team, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to hotel policies.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Support the training and development of front office staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about hotel services and procedures.
  • Oversee on-day room inventory and manage reservations systems to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Ensure efficient check-in and check-out processes
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in front office operations, ideally in a supervisory role within the hotel industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
