The Opportunity


  • Attend site and co-ordination meetings, and provide on-site responses to contractors’ technical queries
  • Carry out duties in all aspects of supervision of building services, work on site within the contracts and the maintenance of site records and/ or conduct design coordination
  • Comment and monitor the installation programme, submission schedule, T&C related documents submitted by contractors
  • Inspect, supervise and monitor the material and workmanship quality to ensure that it is up to contract requirements and Hong Kong legislations
  • Witness and report the acceptance of T&C
  • Review, validate, provide comments and endorse the T&C reports, shop drawings, materials, samples, method statements, etc. submitted from the Contractor and arrange necessary rectification works
  • Assist in resolving site/construction problems and conflicts among various trades in relation to building services matters and overall construction process
  • Assist Client and Head Office for handover of the completed work to project owners
  • Check and update the daily labour strength and works activities on site
  • Provide the outstanding and defect list and report the progress of completion of outstanding works & rectification of defects
  • Monitor the progress of works and provide site progress reports, and assist the client and Head Office/ Resident Building Services Engineer on assessment of Contractor’s claim for extension of time or works disruption on building services aspects
  • Assist the client and Head Office/ Resident Building Services Engineer in vetting of the building services variation works
  • Regular reporting to Head Office and support preparation to the Project Engineer / Project Manager/ Resident Building Services Engineer in reporting of site progress
  • Any other services as required by the client and Head Office for execution of the services

  • Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services Engineering or related discipline
  • Not less than 6 years of relevant working experience including 3 years’ on-site experience in supervision of Electrical, Mechanical and Building Services construction works.
  • 3 years of relevant post-qualification local experience for Resident Assistant Building Services Inspector
  • Registered electrical worker will be preferable

**Job Description**
**Job Purpose**
Under the direct supervision of the Building Services Engineer (BSE) & Resident Building Services Inspector (RBSI), to distribute the duties of the BSE in relation to full-time site supervision and inspection of all building services installation works and to ensure compliance with HKHS's requirements and quality standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ As the employee of the BSE and as a member of the full-time site supervisory team responsible for the supervision of the Contractors' building services installations and building services related works.
+ Assist and report to RBSI for all types of site supervision works for BS installation
+ Report to and advise the BSE/RBSI and the HKHS's Project Superintendents/Coordinators on all building services related issues including the quality and progress of the works.
+ As the BSE's/RBSI's representative on site, ensure that the Contractors' building services installations and building services related works are in compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
**Qualifications**
+ A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent.
+ Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2
* or above in English Language and Chinese Language in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) / Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent.
(Note
* Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.)
+ 3 years' relevant experience, or equivalent.
The successful candidate is expected to commence work in early Q3-4 2025.

Job Responsibilities

  • Report to Account Director and Senior Manager to supervise the Facility Management team to carry out full spectrum of facilities management services to the campus which includes daily operation, routine repair and maintenance work, vendor management, incident management, health & safety, office administration and procurement
  • Liaise with internal parties, end-users, external contractors in respect of project requirements, work progress and regular communications
  • Ensure the team to schedule and implement planned maintenance work as assigned with contractors and clients
  • Perform tender and contract management for facilities services; closely monitor/follow up vendor and contracts service standard
  • Handle clients’ enquiries, complaints and emergency incidents promptly
  • Prepare various monthly reports for management and clients review
  • Able to handle multi-tasks under deadline and willing to work overtime
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications And Requirements


  • Degree holder in Engineering, Facilities Management, Hospitality or related fields.
  • 7 years of relevant experience in facilities management, specifically in managing Soft and Hard Services, preferably in multinational company or the education sector.
  • Solid experience in managing office administration, workplace services, and Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services, as well as overseeing a sizable team, is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated, service-oriented, good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and under pressure
  • Proficient in MS applications with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Hospitality mindset and focus in the workplace experience, work experience in University /Campus is an advantage
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English
