Citi’s Banking franchise is organized around three lines of business: Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking. The unified Banking and International organization oversees the local delivery of the full firm to clients in each of the 95 markets where Citi has an on-the-ground presence.

Citi Investment Bank provides advisory, debt and equity capital markets solutions for corporations, governments and financial institutions.

The Investment Banking Analyst / Associate is an intermediate level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The Investment Banking Analyst / Associate also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients, team members and outside professional advisors on M&A and special situation transactions as the primary day-to-day client point of contact
  • Work closely with clients on financing transactions and guide them through the capital raising process, including performing due diligence and drafting sessions and preparing them for an equity or debt offering
  • Overall responsible for drafting situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, investor and management presentations

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically within Banking
  • Degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration
  • Previous experience in the broader natural resources or infrastructure space is highly preferred but not mandatory
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, and securities products is preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

The Role

  • Provide accounting, financial reporting, and tax advisory services.
  • Manage the financial reimbursement system and ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle company financial statements and perform financial analysis.
  • Prepare fund reports and revenue calculation reports for various departments.
  • Assist in budgeting processes and communicate with business and back-office teams.
  • Coordinate external audits and tax-related matters, acting as a liaison with auditors.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, including fund operations duties.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting, statistics, or related fields.
  • CPA qualified / partly qualified preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience, open to accounting / audit / fund operations candidates from financial services industry
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and tax laws in Mainland China and Hong Kong is a plus
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stress management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

The Role

  • Provide accounting, financial reporting, and tax advisory services.
  • Manage the financial reimbursement system and ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle company financial statements and perform financial analysis.
  • Prepare fund reports and revenue calculation reports for various departments.
  • Assist in budgeting processes and communicate with business and back-office teams.
  • Coordinate external audits and tax-related matters, acting as a liaison with auditors.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, including fund operations duties.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting, statistics, or related fields.
  • CPA qualified / partly qualified preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience, open to accounting / audit / fund operations candidates from financial services industry
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and tax laws in Mainland China and Hong Kong is a plus
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stress management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Strong analytical skills, multi-tasking and time management;
  • Able to work under pressure and independently;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is a must; and
  • Immediately available is highly preferred.
