About Our Client

A client-facing, business and technical staff position responsible for all aspects of managing production systems for multiple users which includes Application Management for hosted and non-hosted clients.

This role will involve working closely with Clients, providing expert level remote management, administration and support for production solutions.

Job Description

  • Client assistance in optimal use of the system
  • User administration/privileges, parameter configuration changes, system availability
  • Application and database performance tuning
  • Daily operational processing monitoring and support
  • Database software patches, version upgrades
  • Assistance with problem support and resolution
  • Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery assistance
  • Working with colleagues to smoothly transition new solution to production operation
  • Working with vendors as partners to deliver a tightly integrated, seamless service to business users
  • Participation in the development and on-going refinement, enhancement and continuous process improvement for the services
  • Participation in the investigation, implementation, and operation of 3rd party tools to enhance/improve, automate, and streamline the delivery of the services
  • The role will involve periodic out of hours support and/or weekend work

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience with Financial Services Investment Management, Trading or related systems highly preferable
  • Proven ability to partner with various internal departments to deliver superior customer service
  • Experience in MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Sybase database configuration, operations, and basic administration functions
  • Any experience with the following is preferred: servers, operating systems, networks, scripting, XML, programming languages, job scheduling software, system monitoring software and disaster recovery/business continuity
  • Excellent customer service skills, technical troubleshooting skills, and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical discipline such as Computer Science, IT, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Science, Economics, Maths or Statistics preferred
  • Possessed 4+ years' relevant industry experience

This role is to support Director, Investments, in managing investment activities across Investment-Linked Products (ILP) and non-ILP public market investments, including development, planning, and execution of investment strategies.   • Conduct the annual management fee review and support other teams by providing relevant investment data. Perform portfolio risk analysis and ongoing monitoring, develop tools to automate existing oversight processes, and maintain the investment procedure manual.
  • Prepare and review regular reports for Investment Committee (IC), risk forum meeting, regulatory reporting, and support investment compliance by ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, investment guidelines, and industry standards.
  • Lead investment related projects assigned by the line manager and handle ad-hoc tasks related to investment management.


Job Requirements

  • University degree in Finance or related discipline.
  • Relevant years investment experience in Financial Services (Insurance or Asset Management preferred).
  • Self-driven, open minded, and fast learner
  • Team player with strong stakeholder and people management skills
  • Good communication and project management skills, with ability to meet deadlines
  • Asset owner experience preferred
  • Investment compliance and risk management experience is a plus
