Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sales process management, use data analysis techniques to evaluate sales effectiveness, and optimize business development strategies;

The Alternative Investments Group (AIG) is responsible for the selection and monitoring of alternative asset managers for Global Wealth Management clients.

As an Alternative Investments Specialist - Analyst in AIG, you will work within a global team, focusing on the Asia Pacific Alternative Investments business. You will be part of team which is responsible for communications with asset managers, internal investment specialists, and clients considering the use of an alternative asset manager within an investment program.  Managers include multiple asset classes across hedge funds, private equity funds, private credit funds, and real estate funds.  With over $180 billion of client capital invested across alternatives, the team brings a unique perspective to sourcing and offering alternative investment opportunities. AIG consists of a collaborative cross functional team of professionals including Investment Specialists, Investor Relations, Due Diligence, Structuring and other functional support colleagues located in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, London, Geneva, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Mumbai.

Job responsibilities

  • Support senior team members in daily interactions with the Private Bank's Bankers & Investors (sales force) on all the third party and internally managed Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate funds on the global Private Bank platform
  • Prioritize and responding to sales force and client inquiries via email and phone
  • Liaise directly with third party funds to provide detailed information to PB clients
  • Attend manager meetings, actively participating in the dialogue with managers, and taking detailed notes
  • Create decks and resources with PowerPoint and Excel for internal and client use
  • Perform analyses on hedge funds, private equity funds, and real estate funds in portfolio and cash flow contexts
  • Coordinate with global alternatives team in the US and EMEA on structuring and due diligence of platform funds
  • Provide insight and assistance to the broader team related to trends and investment opportunities in alternative assets
  • Provide asset class experience and expertise in client and internal situations
  • Monitor investment flows and team metrics
  • Other miscellaneous ad-hoc analyses & projects

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, high quality institution is required
  • Genuine interest in the financial markets
  • Understanding of Private Banking investments platform and private client needs
  • MS Excel and PowerPoint plus strong quantitative skills a must
  • A demonstrated ability to write effectively
  • Team player—ability to multitask and assist team in fast paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; high attention to detail
  • Composure and poise in high pressure environments

  • With alternative investments working background
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
