HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) is a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions. Within CIB, Securities Services provides robust and reliable solutions that help clients mitigate risk and enhance their business performance. Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments, and multinational corporations, this team covers fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Product Manager.

In this role you will

  • Assist with work on initiatives linked to the strategy and help support maintenance of product pricing strategies and maintenance of product rate cards
  • In line with the Transfer Agency global and regional strategy and in conjunction with IT, support the alignment of the TA product architecture and design to the IT architectural blueprint
  • Design and maintain global service definition documentation and relevant elements of sales collateral
  • Identify new and enhanced global product opportunities, providing input to market/product strategy initiatives
  • Provide thought leadership through promotion of best practices including regulatory & internal compliance
  • Maintain an awareness of market and competitor developments and position and differentiate the TA offering relative to the competition
  • Support product development and market research including focus groups (internal and external)
  • Work closely with the Sales and Business Development team on client pitches, RFPs, due diligence meetings and other discussions/negotiations and maintain marketing and sales collateral on an ongoing basis

Qualifications

To be successful you will need

  • Strong business and market sense, a good mix of attention to detail, interpersonal and product/change & time management skills across multiple markets
  • Significant experience within Transfer Agency with exposure to operations
  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the securities market and the associated market infrastructure. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the funds industry
  • Demonstrates a solid grasp of the technology and systems supporting Digital Distribution
  • Strategic mind-set, with strong conceptual, creative and analytical content with strong organisation, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Personal qualities of stability, maturity and leadership. Team player and people motivator: energetic, results focused, change agent, with a strong work ethic
  • First class interpersonal, collaborative, relationship building and influencing skills with excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrate change management experience within Transfer Agency is also considered advantages; experience in multiple markets an advantage

  • Coordination on live transactions with MSS colleagues and Coverage Bankers including speaking directly with clients
  • Coordination in arranging roadshows and investor teach-ins
  • Work closely with senior bankers and experts from other groups of the bank
  • Conduct sophisticated financial analysis and relevant industry research
  • Perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation on live transactions
  • Affinity for current events, critical issues, and relevant news

Qualifications

To be successful you will need

  • Prior relevant experience in an investment bank, private equity / investment fund
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong financial analysis and MS Excel modelling skills with great attention to details
  • Familiarity with MS Powerpoint and efficient presentation preparation skills
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team
  • Appropriate language capabilities and the ability to obtain appropriate visa status or citizenship for the assignment location

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Establish new client relationships and strengthen existing ones; Communicate new products and propositions to clients
  • Identify new sales opportunities in the local market and escalate these where appropriate to

cater for client demand

  • Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining

strong working relationships

  • Work with Client Implementation Services in a timely fashion to ensure an efficient transition process for complex clients
  • Support achievement of the HSBC vision, Values, goals and culture in personal behaviour,

actions and decision making

  • Provide technical leadership and support technical excellence by searching out external best

practice, monitoring technical and professional developments, sharing knowledge and

encouraging others to do the same in the best interests of HSBC and its customers

  • Develop and recommend changes and improvements to operating models, procedures and

practices based on subject matter expertise and understanding of HSBC and market best

practice

  • Communicate and adhere to HSBC policy and procedures in order to ensure good operational,

financial and project management, policy and procedural compliance and early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise

Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business or related discipline; Extensive knowledge of global trade solutions including core and structured trade
  • Good understanding of the market trends, competitive environment, Credit & risk and regulatory environment
  • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services
  • Ability to interact with business customers at all levels
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations in English, Cantonese and Mandarin

Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will

  • Establish new client relationships and strengthen existing ones; Communicate new products and propositions to clients
  • Identify new sales opportunities in the local market and escalate these where appropriate to
cater for client demand
  • Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining
strong working relationships
  • Work with Client Implementation Services in a timely fashion to ensure an efficient transition process for complex clients
  • Support achievement of the HSBC vision, Values, goals and culture in personal behaviour,
actions and decision making
  • Provide technical leadership and support technical excellence by searching out external best
practice, monitoring technical and professional developments, sharing knowledge and
encouraging others to do the same in the best interests of HSBC and its customers
  • Develop and recommend changes and improvements to operating models, procedures and
practices based on subject matter expertise and understanding of HSBC and market best
practice
  • Communicate and adhere to HSBC policy and procedures in order to ensure good operational,

Requirements
To be successful you will need
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business or related discipline; Extensive knowledge of global trade solutions including core and structured trade
  • Good understanding of the market trends, competitive environment, Credit & risk and regulatory environment
  • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services
  • Ability to interact with business customers at all levels
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations in English, Cantonese and Mandarin

We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Financial Services business unit in Hong Kong to provide strategic and operational advisory for our clients.

Position overview:

As a Senior Consultant, you will help to build our expertise and guarantee the quality of delivery to ensure market-leading practices for our Hong Kong office. Given the global nature of our firm, you will support clients from all around the world, typically focusing on Insurance, Financial Markets, Private Banking and Asset & Wealth Management.

You’ll also work with Sia consultants from other offices to leverage on our global network and help clients deliver successful projects.

This will involve:

  • Participation in projects with leading banks and Financial Institutions.
  • Typically work with a team of 2-5 consultants.
  • Contribute to the implementation and execution of clients projects.
  • Develop impactful solutions by analysing data, formulating hypothesis and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Transforming data into meaningful insights and solutions.
  • Ensuring hands on approach to growing the office with emphasis on high standard client delivery, content development and business development.
  • Working closely in a diverse and international environment with our other offices and leverage our global network to take part to cross-selling initiatives and widely share our knowledge.
