Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Direct Crypto OTC Experience:

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Client Management & Sales: Own the entire sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure and ongoing account management. Focus on driving sales volume and hitting quarterly revenue targets.
  • Diversified Product Expertise: Execute and provide liquidity for a wide range of OTC products, including:
  • Spot Crypto: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and major altcoins.
  • Stablecoins: Deep understanding and experience with stablecoin-based transactions and their role in crypto-native settlement.
  • Fiat On/Off-Ramping: Guide institutional clients through large-scale fiat currency conversion and settlement processes.
  • Traditional Finance Bridge: Experience with

Who We Are Looking For

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be a member of the Institutional Business Development team based in Hong Kong, and responsible for building out the Greater China institutional business, identifying sales opportunities, assisting with investor due diligence, managing throughout the sales process with key stakeholders, and ultimately contributing to building client relationships and raising institutional capital for Barings in Greater China.

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following functions:

  • Work closely with senior sales team members to identify client opportunities, understanding the market landscape and execute client & business development plans across investment strategies
  • Deepen relationships with existing clients and expand new relationships with prospect investors. Regularly engage prospect and existing investors on Barings strategies and market update.
  • Independently handle throughout the sales process from early-stage engagements, addressing prospect requests for information (RFI & RFP), investors due diligence, onboarding and liaising with internal stakeholders
  • Assist on the planning, management and execution of fundraising roadshows with Portfolio Managers
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of strategic marketing plans to build the profile and brand of the firm and generate business opportunities.
  • Maintaining key client database, background and contact information via CRM systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge on financial products and investment are critical for this role
