In this role, you’re expected to:

The Product Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for managing a broad range of Product Management employees, setting strategy and providing direction, leadership and budgetary management, etc. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product lines through product life-cycles in coordination with the broader Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.

  • Oversee day-to-day product management for insurance products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies to achieve business results
  • Ensure smooth product launches and maintenance of product, this includes system management, product maintenance on materials update
  • Manage all complaints pertaining to products in the region and supports on product provider due diligence and ensure it is complied
  • Engage with advisory teams for product training, in-business risk and post sales service support
  • Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
  • Conduct continuous monitoring and maintenance on product range to ensure product competitiveness in the market.
  • Manage multiple projects for on-time completion
  • Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders on product launch plan including communication, training, sales process and related logistical arrangement.
  • Support and assist in handling special projects related to legal, regulatory and compliance changes
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Functional experience in marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, or analytics
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

Job Overview:
Our client is seeking experienced Business Analysts with expertise in life insurance and core policy administration to support process documentation efforts. The role involves gathering business requirements, collaborating with stakeholders across various insurance departments, and developing an insurance reference architecture and service catalog for consumption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather inputs and develop an insurance service catalog. Document the as-is insurance process architecture, process models, and controls.
  • Create clear, concise documentation detailing process steps, requirements, and user stories or functional specifications for core insurance processes, including New Business & Policy Setup, Policy Owned Services, Claims, Billing & Collection.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and data dictionaries.
  • Identify process gaps, pain points, and areas for improvement in processes and systems, aiming to enhance operational efficiency within the insurance domain.
  • Provide regular project status updates, clearly communicate requirements, and effectively manage stakeholder expectations.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience in insurance process engineering and transformation projects as Business Analyst or Consultant.
  • Strong understanding of core insurance processes, including New Business & Policy Setup, Policy Owned Services, Claims, Billing & Collection.
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies, with proficiency in project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Redmine) and wireframing tools (e.g., Figma).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in both English and Cantonese, will liaise with Cantonese speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Insurance, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve client acquisition targets by building a pipeline of prospective clients who are interested in products and services offered by the company including attending networking events outside of office hours;

  • Handle client contract negotiation and KYC procedures in a professional manner;
  • Strictly adhere to internal policy procedures and relevant regulations;
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder with at least 3 years of working experience in either fintech or wealth management, preferably have connections with one or more client segments of banking clients, securities, EAMs and SFOs;
  • Interest in outbound sales and energized when meeting, talking and listening to new people;
  • Has interest in social media and technology in the finance space;
  • Knowledge of FIX and API connectivity is an advantage;
  • Excited to work in a startup environment. Client-centric, self-starter, business acumen, drive-to-success, attention-to-details and can-do attitude;
