About The Job

As an Executive Director leading part of our insurance practice, you will be expected to drive the growth agenda within the insurance domain. This looks like building our profile and network across clients and engagements. We are a fast paced and focused business that is targeting value creation for our targeted clients in Hong Kong and APAC. This means that we work in an agile environment, leading on a range of challenging projects through our insurance practice. Having an entrepreneurial mindset will be key to your success. We are targeting individuals with a broad range of experience and expertise across the insurance value chain Life, Pensions, Health & Employee Benefits and General Insurance / Property & Casualty. As an Executive Director within Capco, you will be outward facing and a senior generator of new business opportunities. This will require both farming existing relationships and identifying new opportunities for our value proposition. You will be joining a growing team with deep expertise and an exciting set of client engagements with a focus on value creation, Operational excellence, digital, data and transformation.

Responsibilities

  • To identify key C-suite individuals and build our presence in the Hong Kong market
  • Support the growth strategy, by creating or improving our value proposition and go to market strategy
  • Lead end-to-end oversight into the delivery of complex, large-scale initiatives
  • Lead and develop forward-thinking solutions across various pillars such as technology, people and process for our insurance clients
  • Lead transformation projects and process improvement initiatives for multi-national insurers
  • Work cross functionally to develop and execute digital transformation strategies to ensure our clients achieve their growth and efficiency objectives
  • Synthesize market and industry trends into clearly articulated, tailored, and market differentiated client solutions
  • Proactively engage with clients and Capco leadership in regular strategic & planning discussions; cultivate and manage a pipeline of work with clients
  • Drive commercial growth of our insurance domain across Hong Kong and APAC
  • Lead, Manage and mentor resources to grow in their careers

Requirements

Key requirement for this role is to have a background in Insurance within one or more of these capability areas:

  • A Solid Network across Hong Kong Insurance market
  • Insurance strategy with transformation experience
  • Digital transformation
  • Data strategy, data management, data engineering & data analytics
  • Business & finance transformation
  • Technology strategy, architecture development and technology transformation

We Are Looking For Exceptional Talent With The Following

  • A demonstrated network of relationships across the Hong Kong Insurance market at senior levels.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels from C-suite to internal engagement teams and vendors.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the Insurance Industry with a specific focus on digital transformation across Operations, Underwriting, Distribution and/or Claims.
  • 5+ years’ experience in one or more of the following areas within Insurance: digital transformation, agile transformation, operational excellence, designing/implementing target operating model
  • A strong understanding of the project lifecycle and the ability to employ these concepts in process design, system implementation and the development of client deliverable
  • Business analysis experience in insurance capability uplift and digital ways of working – including designing or implementing target operating model strategies.
  • Experience delivering large scale program initiatives, reporting directly to senior stakeholders and managing multiple teams
  • Highly effective relationship management skills, with the ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
  • Must have a strong track record of delivery, driving business development within a consulting role, as well as the generation of sales
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills

As an Engagement Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful delivery of high-impact consulting engagements that influence the insurance sector’s future. You will:

  • Lead Project Execution: Oversee day-to-day management of project workstreams, ensuring rigorous, insightful, and actionable recommendations that resonate with client needs.

Assist in managing the Insurance Risk & Financial Management sub-team under the Financial Reporting and Management team to:

  • Conduct regular experience monitoring and deep dive analyses to provide insights into emerging insurance risks, and drive the effective management of operating experiences and annual operating assumption setting.
  • Drive the transformation of data analytics processes and modelling of insurance risks under the economic valuation regime.
  • Participate in insurance risk advisory committees and collaborate with external professional bodies and reinsurers to stay updated on the latest insurance experience trends.
Role Summary

Assist in managing the Insurance Risk & Financial Management sub-team under the Actuarial In-Force Management team to:

  • Conduct regular experience monitoring and deep dive analyses to provide insights of emerging insurance risks to the business, and then drive the effective management of operating experiences and annual operating assumption setting.
  • Drive the transformation of data analytics process and modelling of insurance risks under economic valuation regime.
  • Participate in insurance risk advisory committees and collaborate with external professional bodies and reinsurers in gaining insights of the latest insurance experience trend.
Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct experience monitoring and reporting, develop experience dashboards, and perform deep dive studies to provide insights into emerging insurance risks and facilitate modelling of these risks (e.g., mortality improvements, policyholder options and behaviour).
  • Assist in setting operating assumptions based on experience and long-term perspectives, considering various financial metrics, and handle stakeholder queries to obtain audit clearance.
  • Enhance data analytics processes using tools like Alteryx, Power BI, and improve experience dashboards.
  • Participate in insurance risk advisory committees and prepare insightful analyses based on experience studies to support effective risk management.
  • Collaborate with actuarial sub-teams (Product, EEV, Distribution) to gather insights on managing insurance experience.
  • Supervise team members and provide coaching on actuarial, product, and insurance knowledge.
Job Requirements
  • University degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience.
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent.
  • Experience in financial reporting and experience monitoring preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the life insurance industry, especially insurance risk and experience monitoring.
  • Technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Prophet, Alteryx, Power BI is a plus.
  • Good business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.

We are looking for an insurance product specialist (Wealth Planning) to strengthen our product distribution business; and promote regular product programme with comfortable starting size to increase product penetration.   • Solid client facing experience is a must with strong understanding of private client distribution and MCV client relationship management
  • Available to travel and team player with strong presentation and analytical skills
  • Strong judgment and high level of professional and personal integrity

We are looking for an insurance product specialist (Wealth Planning) to strengthen our product distribution business; and promote regular product programme with comfortable starting size to increase product penetration. The role is to manage the end-to-end product cycle and relationship building with clients and stakeholders.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Provide wealth planning solutions, primarily using insurance/trust products, to high net worth and corporate clients for estate planning, succession planning, and asset protection
  • Act as an expert resource for wealth planning and insurance/trust products, supporting both prospects and existing clients
  • Achieve business goals and address client inquiries regarding insurance/trust products through client meetings and calls
  • Conduct product training and assist stakeholders in understanding the benefits of wealth planning structures and insurance/trust products
  • Organize client seminars and special events related to wealth planning
  • Continuously educate stakeholders/clients by preparing write-ups to promote wealth planning and insurance brokerage business
  • Support the marketing team in developing strong client relationships
  • Maintain relationships with external parties such as insurance companies/brokers to facilitate solution design and implementation
  • Foster strong working relationships with relationship managers to identify specific client needs and promote targeted campaigns

Requirements

  • Degree or above with major in Finance, Economics or related disciplines; professional qualification of CFP/FLMI/CPA/FRM is preferred

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of Insurance Customer Lifecycle Management (CLCM), reporting to Chief Commercial Officer, Insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development and Execution
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Customer Lifecycle Management strategy tailored to the insurance business.
  • Work with digital and manned channel team to drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention, recapturing, and cross-selling initiatives to maximize customer value.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the success of CLCM initiatives.
  • Align CLCM strategies with overall business objectives and KPIs.
  • Customer Insights and Segmentation
  • Analyze customer data to identify behavioral patterns, preferences, and pain points.
  • Develop segmentation strategies to create personalized and targeted customer journeys.
  • Use insights to design customer centric initiatives and journeys.
  • Proactively address risks associated with customer data handling and communication.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with product teams, channel teams, marketing team and analytic team to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Build strong relationships across functional teams to drive customer-first initiatives.
  • Stay closely with legal, compliance and risk team to keep up standards and ensure the compliance to regulatory requirement.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in insurance products, markets, and customer behavior.
  • Expertise in data analytics, segmentation, and customer journey mapping.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms, digital tools, and marketing automation solutions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on delivering data-driven results.
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
