Retail Distribution – Wealth Sales Distribution

Hang Seng's Retail Distribution focuses on personal wealth management and financial services. Our one-stop wealth management initiatives are designed for both our affluent and mass integrated account customers. With around 254 branches and automated banking centres, including around 50 Prestige Banking Centres for our high-end personal customers, we serve over half of the adult population in Hong Kong while offering an extensive range of products to our valued customers.

We are currently seeking high-caliber professionals to join our department as Senior Insurance Sales .

Principal Responsibilities

  • Achieve the insurance sales targets by collaboration with the assigned Customer Relationship Managers/branches
  • Drive tactical programs to develop a robust insurance culture on need-based financial planning to affluent segments
  • Ensure sales staff are capable to cross-sell various types of insurance products and able to deliver innovative products to our customers
  • Implement the Group’s/Bank’s Compliance policy by managing compliance risk, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relation with regulators

Requirements

  • University degree in a related discipline and preferably with relevant qualifications such as CFA, CFP or CFMP
  • Proven experience in insurance sales
  • Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Strong self-motivation and drive to succeed, with ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Customer-centric mindset and ability to manage complex interactions effectively
  • Shown strong situation awareness, strong desire to learn and ability to work in Agile environment
  • Advocate of openness, able to create a cohesive teamwork and inspire others
  • High level of customer-centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under HKIB would be an advantage

Insurance Brokerage - Sales

To excel in this role, you'll need to take a customer-centric approach, understanding the needs and desires of your clients and matching them with our insurance products and services. You'll also need to stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to grow our business and increase sales.
What you do
Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs
  • Conducting needs analysis and providing tailored insurance solutions
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to grow our insurance brokerage sales
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of insurance products and services
  • Staying up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth
Who you are
  • A degree or diploma in a relevant field is desirable
  • At least 5 years of experience in insurance sales or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • A strong understanding of insurance products and services, with the ability to provide tailored solutions
  • A results-driven approach, with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • A positive and resilient attitude, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Review high net worth clients' portfolios and provide suitable insurance solutions.
  • Develop strategic plans to increase sales revenue and meet insurance targets.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and branches.
  • Enhance sales capacity through coaching, training, and advisory support.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • University degree or higher in relevant fields.
  • IIQE qualification and insurance licenses are required; CFA, CFP, FRM preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or insurance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Extensive insurance sales experience and influential skills.
  • Fluent in Cantonese, English, and proficient in Mandarin.
