Position description
Reporting to the Senior Information Technology Manager (Customer Services/User Support)of Information Technology, the appointee will lead the End User Computing function to manage and maintain the digital workplace environment, IT asset management and network infrastructure. Information Technology Manager (Data Analytics
Reporting to the Senior Information Technology Manager, the appointee will be an in-house expert in advanced analytical and reporting output that is easy to understand for management decisions. The appointee should understand both the short-term and long-term strategy of the office and the University so as to put forward recommendations on how to leverage data analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for guiding the design of data plan, working closely with a range of stakeholders including the rest of the architecture team, business users (both academic and administrative), and data providers;
- Develop data quality standards and data quality control plans, conduct data quality management, tracking and monitoring, and establish data quality evaluation systems;
- Develop advanced analytics, with AI and machine learning capability, to streamline existing data management process and improve efficiency;
- Build predictive models to address problems and inform business decisions;
- Manage and supervise third-party vendors and consultants for efficient and quality deliverables of different data analytics projects;
- Perform ad hoc analysis on large/diverse datasets by using various tools and techniques using data-driven approach to measure and drive the success of initiatives, perform analyses with actionable insights; and

Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related discipline;
- At least 7 years' work experience in industry experience in Data Management & Analytics, with experience in a similar role as a Solution Architect or Data Architect is preferred;
- Demonstrated track record in successfully implementing solutions in modern data architecture, Big Data, and/or traditional BI/DW/ETL encompassing both process and data analytics;
