Commercial Banking – Global Trade Solutions

Hang Seng's Commercial Banking business provides customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies.

For customers conducting business locally or around the world, we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade solutions, structured loan, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services. As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists.

We are looking for high calibre professionals to join our team as Senior Manager, Sales, Global Trade Solutions.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a motivated and high-performing team of sales managers to provide best in class trade solutions that meet the clients trade and working capital needs.
  • Devise and execute robust growth plan to target new opportunities in the trade business including reviewing and negotiating the full range of GTS services and priority solutions such as structured trade, sustainable trade and trade digitalisation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities within the marketplace, and energetically develop growth strategies which both leverage and develop our offering against market specific needs.
  • Manage and grow pipeline of opportunities and enable end to end acquisition and growth process.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, which may include relationship mangers and product specialists, to maximise cross-selling opportunities for the Bank.
  • Participating in events, initiatives and activities to develop business opportunities.
  • Developing and implementing distribution channel business development strategies.
  • Protecting the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile whilst deepening the understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews.


Requirements

  • University graduate in related disciplines or other relevant qualifications
  • Proven experience in corporate lending or trade finance
  • Proven experience in driving team and individual performance to achieve client and financial targets
  • Holder of Enhanced Competency Framework – Credit Risk Management (ECF-CRM) is preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation and analytical ability, with good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Resilient, capable to work responsibly in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage
  • High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Establish new client relationships and strengthen existing ones; Communicate new products and propositions to clients
  • Identify new sales opportunities in the local market and escalate these where appropriate to

cater for client demand

  • Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining

strong working relationships

  • Work with Client Implementation Services in a timely fashion to ensure an efficient transition process for complex clients
  • Support achievement of the HSBC vision, Values, goals and culture in personal behaviour,

actions and decision making

  • Provide technical leadership and support technical excellence by searching out external best

practice, monitoring technical and professional developments, sharing knowledge and

encouraging others to do the same in the best interests of HSBC and its customers

  • Develop and recommend changes and improvements to operating models, procedures and

practices based on subject matter expertise and understanding of HSBC and market best

practice

  • Communicate and adhere to HSBC policy and procedures in order to ensure good operational,

financial and project management, policy and procedural compliance and early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise

Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business or related discipline; Extensive knowledge of global trade solutions including core and structured trade
  • Good understanding of the market trends, competitive environment, Credit & risk and regulatory environment
  • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services
  • Ability to interact with business customers at all levels
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations in English, Cantonese and Mandarin

J.P. Morgan Private Bank Asia is looking for a diligent and professional talent to join the Execution Desk as a Trade Execution Specialist (Night Desk).

Great career progression will be offered to the right individual who has experience in a single asset class trading but would like to widen investment knowledge and progress to Private Banking client facing role either as a Banker, Investor or Product Specialist.

As an integral part of the integrated team, the Trade Execution Specialist will have opportunity to attend the office at different shifts, for example to meet clients or attend the team meetings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide quality services by executing clients’ self-direct investment on cross-asset instruments as well as sourcing the best execution for clients
  • Work closely with Bankers, Investors and Product Specialists to offer best-in-class services for Private Bank clients
  • Coverage of US Equity, Derivatives, Fixed Income and FX is the main focus
  • As an integral part of the integrated team, the Night Desk Trader will have opportunity to attend the office at different shifts, for example to meet clients or attend team meetings
  • Working Hours will be 7pm HKT/SGT until US Equity Market Close; Monday to Friday.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, Skills

  • Relevant and proven trading desk experience is required
  • Solid product knowledge and trading experience, not limited to Equity, Fixed Income, FX, OTC Derivatives
  • Good understanding and familiarity of US, European and Asian markets
  • Good knowledge and familiarity of Bloomberg system and Office
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin required. Cantonese is a definite plus
  • Good client facing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure; attention to detail
  • Excellent collaboration and analytical skills
