Job Description

The Duties
- Investigate into complaints lodged under the anti-discrimination legislation and make recommendations on the basis of information gathered,
- Conduct conciliation to resolve disputes related to discrimination complaints,
- Handle the EOC self-initiated/follow-up action on potential/possible unlawful acts of discrimination,
- Answer public enquiries under the anti-discrimination legislation,
- Participate and/or support senior officers in intra/inter-divisional projects and task groups,
- Undertake any other duties as assigned, including but not limited to internal transfer to other divisions within the EOC.
The Person
- University graduate
- At least 5 years of full-time post-qualification relevant work experience, preferably in complaint handling, dispute resolution or investigation
- Training in dispute resolution, experience in law enforcement/public administration and/or legal knowledge would be an advantage
- Good understanding of issues relating to discrimination and equal opportunities
- Motivated and committed to the EOC's vision, mission and values
- Good analytical, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
- Appointment of this non-established position will be on two-year agreement terms renewable depending on service needs and performance. The remuneration package will consist of a basic salary and a cash allowance in accordance with the EOC's policy. The appointee will also be eligible for a gratuity on completion of the agreement subject to satisfactory performance and conduct.
- Appointee holding this non-established position with satisfactory performance may apply for transfer to other established positions of the same role or other roles within the EOC when suitable vacancies arise.

Job Requirement:

As a Tunnel Engineer, you'll help the company meet technical and regulatory standards in tunnel, geotechnical and structural design. Through clear documentation and coordination, the tunnel engineer contributes to client satisfaction and ongoing business opportunities. Based in Hong Kong, as part of and supporting our Asia unit team, you may also have the opportunity to, in addition to supporting the portfolio of Hong Kong projects, navigate and support some of the regional projects across Asia (e.g. Singapore) based on needs.

Key Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide support to projects as per the specific needs of the project at different stages
- Support in carrying out technical design based on relevant ordinances, code of practices, guidelines and design requirements
- Provide technical input for design, analysis and numerical model, e.g. tunnel, ELS, site formation
- Contribute to business development and client engagement
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions to engineering design
