Job Profile

This role provides comprehensive operational services across all of Man Group's Investment Management units, supporting trading activities for all instruments across global markets. Key responsibilities include ensuring the timely confirmation and settlement of securities trades while managing reconciliation breaks between the firm's investment book of record and counterparties' records. The position focuses on continuous process improvement to enhance day-to-day operational deliveries and actively supports system enhancements to front office platforms, including Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS), and Portfolio Management Systems (PMS). Through these activities, the role plays a critical part in maintaining operational excellence across the firm's investment operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and clear all unconfirmed and failing trades
• Ensure the cancel and amend process for all trading desks is managed and adhered to
• Trade amendments, event processing, and reference data maintenance to ensure accurate representation of positions, P&L, and exposures in the risk management systems
• Collate and present key governance metrics to the business on a regular basis
• Work alongside other Operations teams to provide cover/product knowledge
• Implementation and execution of processes within a control infrastructure that mitigates operational risk &allows the business to operate in a controlled environment
• Support the Audit and Internal Controls framework oversight
• Act as a central point of contact for all broker queries
• Act as a subject matter expert internally for all Equity &Bond across Man Group
• Investigate and clear all trade and position breaks in Securities transactions
• Investigate and clear all cash breaks related to Securities transactions
• Continually review and improve the working practices/processes of the team
• Improve STP rates with our Custodian and Primebrokers
• Liaise with global Technology &Operations counterparts on a variety of strategic initiatives to provide expertise for processes and systems, assist in testing technology rollouts, and driving enhancements to existing systems &processes
• Maintain awareness of compliance and regulatory data development to ensure impacts are managed appropriately

Technical Competencies

• Educated to degree level preferred
• Over 2 years' experience in Investment Management, Investment Banking or Securities' Clearing preferred
• Understanding of Equity/Bond products
• Familiarity of DTCC-CTM/OTM, Traiana, Failstation and/or Salerio
• Strong analytical skills to understand a broad set of products and complex end-to-end workflows

• Maintain New product setup, static data maintenance for Wealth Asia North Investment / Insurance business
• Contribute to daily operations on Investment / Insurance processing, initial & recurring settlement instructions, corporate actions, IPO for stock / bonds, holdings asset movements, premium billing, premium manual debits, refunds, payment to Counterparties.

The Investment Operations Manager will report to Chief Operating Officer and be responsible to oversee the middle office functions, with a particular focus on performance attribution. This includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of investment transactions, performance measurement, and risk management.

Duties and responsibilities
