As part of Keyrus’ solution delivery, we are also in a position to recruit and place technical consultants to complement on existing client projects with their expertise. As such, we seek innovative and agile people to support ambitious and forthcoming technological challenges.

We are seeking a strong Application Support in Hong Kong to join and support our client's Prime Services Production Support team, providing global application support in a fast-paced, trade floor environment. This role involves close collaboration with front office, developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence: Ensure stability of front-office applications by handling daily operations, enhancing monitoring tools, automating tasks, and conducting system checks with global teams.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with trading desk heads and technology managers to align on priorities and solutions.
• Service Implementation: Support rollout and maintenance of new services; plan and execute production changes to minimize risks.
• Incident Management: Serve as first contact for incidents, lead resolution efforts, manage communications, conduct reviews, and document known issues and workarounds.
• Global Collaboration: Coordinate with global teams under a 'follow the sun' model, participate in disaster recovery drills, and support on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in investment banking applications
• Experienced with Java, Kafka, Python, and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of ITIL Service Management
• Proficient in SQL and Shell scripting
• Hands-on with UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms
• Familiar with Autosys, ITRS Geneos, and Dynatrace
• Knowledge of Agile methodology

As the Data Support Lead , you will oversee the APAC region, empowering Portfolio Managers (PMs) and Analysts through exceptional data solutions, technical enablement, and personalized support. You will lead and mentor a team of specialists and analysts and collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and content experts across key geographic locations, as well as senior investment professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of specialists and analysts, providing regular feedback and fostering a culture of technical mastery, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Actively participate in daily support and technical tasks to serve as a subject matter expert and role model.
• Maintain and elevate the standard of technical and customer support for front, middle, and back-office users across all asset classes. Oversee team workloads to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met and users are delighted with their experience.
• Act as the escalation point for high-impact or complex user issues, driving timely resolutions and conducting root cause analyses. Lead problem management processes for data tooling, identifying trends and implementing process improvements.
• Partner with investment teams, technology, and product groups to ensure a seamless and responsive user experience. Advocate for regional user needs within global forums to address local requirements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance support processes. Expand and maintain knowledge bases, training materials, and documentation to empower users and team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in data enablement. Encourage experimentation, learning, and the adoption of innovative solutions to improve efficiency and user satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or data enablement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in technologies such as Python, SQL, AWS, Git, and Airflow, with a proven track record of technical aptitude and the ability to learn new tools and platforms.
• Experience working with investment professionals or financial data—especially time-series data and third-party data vendors—is preferred.

• Strong analytical skills, multi-tasking and time management;
• Able to work under pressure and independently;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is a must; and
