Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide leadership on operation and project implementation services covering University's IT Help Centre, Student Computing Center, Teaching & Learning technology, AV/IT facilities in teaching venues and University Cloud collaboration tools;
(b) align IT support resources to meet user demand through continuous tracking and reporting on quantitative and qualitative service performance metrics;
(c) engage, collaborate, communicate and provide training to user units to drive changes and adoption of common technology standards/solutions;
(d) lead and drive continuous improvement in student learning experience via AI and digital transformation initiatives, and manage stakeholders across academic units on adoption for Teaching, Learning and Assessment;
(e) source innovative technology solutions to accelerate the execution of University's strategic plan;
(f) provide coaching and mentorship to User Support Services Section talent; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline;
(b) at least ten years of managerial experience in leading IT teams to deliver support services and implement technology projects in sizeable organisations;
(c the capability to manage end-user expectations and implement process changes via technology to drive efficiency on study administration activities;
(d) hands-on experience in using agile approach to build new digital capabilities by leveraging Large Language Models token inference capability using advanced prompting techniques including RAG and multi-model agents;
(e) excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua; and
(f) experience in deployment of Teaching & Learning technology using AI agents and LangGraph in a higher education setting being a definite advantage.

install, configure and monitor IT hardware and software;
provide IT support for teaching activities, user and help desk operation;
diagnose and solve IT technical issues;
manage and operate IT facilities in the University;
support University's events and set up corresponding IT equipment; and

- Familiarize end users on basic software, hardware and peripheral device operation
- Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical issues within the desktop environment
