Our Consumer Goods Division is dedicated to helping brands, retailers and manufacturers worldwide deliver safe, quality and ethically made products to their consumers. Every day at work, our inspectors, auditors, and lab techs use their expertise to help safeguard the products you use every day in your home: from clothes and footwear to toys and baby products, to electronics, appliances, and furniture.

Job Description

• Implement the management system and ISO 17025;
• Work with Sample Control Team for receiving and returning of tested items;
• Handle preparation work before testing;
• Conduct simple testing after internal training and the supervision of engineer or above;
• Process data to engineer, or above as needed;
• Carry out maintenance and calibration plan of the laboratory;
• Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above, preferably in Science
• Good command of MS Word, Excel, & word processing
• Proficient in written Chinese and English

Additional Information

• Familiar with ISO 17025 quality system and accreditation requirements.
• Familiar with safety standards/requirements of toys and consumable products in various countries such as ASTM, CPSIA, EN 71-3 and REACH.
• 1 year working experience in a testing lab or science fresh graduates are welcome

HK RGC AoE project: Advanced Antenna Technology for a Smart World

• Participate in the design, validation, evaluation and performance analysis of intelligent mobile radios and according to the work packages of the associated project. The following areas are of particular importance in this project:
• Hand-on experience in designing and evaluation of low-profile antennas, and surface wave platform in millimeter-wave frequency bands;
• Proficient FPGA programming skill;
• Machine learning and multi-agent AI optimisation for leaky wave antennas or holographic antennas;
• Performance analysis of communication networks;

• System-level simulations based on standards-compatible parameters to evaluate the performance of the above;

• Lead the drafting and submitting of papers to international Journals and conferences;

• Present the research at international conferences and project meetings, and contributing to technical reports;

• Contribute to the preparation and drafting of research bids and proposals;

• Contribute to the overall activities of the research team and department as required, including the induction and direction of other research staff and students as requested; and

• Carry out any other duties that are within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager.

• A PhD degree in a related discipline, with at least 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience in a related area as demonstrated through publications in international journals, conferences or patents;

• A strong (first or upper second class) undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science;

• Knowledge of general research techniques;

• Knowledge of antenna design and surface wave technology;

• Knowledge of wireless communications, including signal processing for wireless communications;

• Knowledge of machine Learning, especially Reinforcement Learning;

• Knowledge of optimisation methods; and

• Significant experience in the analysis, design and simulation of millimeter-wave frequency bands advanced communication systems are required.
