We are looking for an ESL Teacher to join our team to train AI models. You will measure the progress of these AI chatbots, evaluate their logic, and solve problems to improve the quality of each model.

In this role, you will need to hold an expert level of linguistics. You will have conversations in both Chinese and English with chatbots in order to measure their progress, as well as write novel conversations in order to teach them what to say.

Responsibilities

• Give AI chatbots diverse and complex problems and evaluate their outputs
• Evaluate the quality produced by AI models for correctness and performance

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Chinese
• Detail-oriented
• Demonstrated expertise in writing and grammar skills
• A current, in progress, or completed Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required

As a Cosmo 1:1 tutor, you will have a flexible, self-set schedule. We teach math, ELA, and SAT classes and provide Cosmo-provided learning plans for tutors to use. This is a 1-on-1 after-school opportunity with weekly 50-minute sessions. You will create a welcoming and fun learning environment to help students grow. Tutors are expected to be reliable role models who come to class well prepared, on time, and with a passionate and kind demeanor.

The base pay for this position is $20 SGD per hour, plus regular incentives and bonuses.

• Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for students
• Update availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
• Submit class feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in math, ELA, or SAT prep
• Experience with K-12 ELA/Math standards
• Teaching license preferred but not required
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
• Available between 6-9 AM EST or 3-10 PM EST on weekdays or weekends
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability per week
• Access to a private and quiet location
