The Lead Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing and implementing the enterprise architecture strategy, roadmap and architecture solutions which is aligned to IT principles, strategy and business goals. This role involves development of Enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and governance process which enables digital transformation initiatives architecture solution to be scalable, resilient, reliable with no tech debt and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong enterprise and solution architecture experience with ability collaborate effectively with country chief architects to achieve consensus in driving architecture and technology initiatives
Position Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the architecture target state, roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Interprets and applies enterprise architecture standards, frameworks and policies to inform a broad range of business improvement activities, including those relating to the design, development, and maintenance of IT systems and technologies
- Lead and mentor a team of architects and IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
- Collaborate with business leaders, IT leaders to communicate critical information about the organization's architecture and technology landscape
- Collaborates with engineering teams, delivery, business partners and data governance team to provide leading architecture solutions
- Collaborates with project leaders and IT Leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements
- Ensure all architectural solutions are reliable, resilient and comply with local Insurance regulations and standards
- Champion and research emerging technology such as AI and blockchain, industry, and market trends to assist in product development and/or operational support activities to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT systems and architecture
- Proficiency in TOGAF, Zachman, or similar EA frameworks
- Expertise in large or complex system integration projects
- Expertise in crafting architecture plans to support business outcomes
- Commercial awareness to understand market context and pressures, business requirements, competitive positioning, and the market context
- Experience in Application Design and Management
- Experience knowledge of data architecture, data governance, security and analytics
- Understanding of Application, Data, Infrastructure and cybersecurity principles and practices
- IT Service Management Methodologies & Frameworks
- Network Architecture and Management
- Expertise in APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architecture (SOA), Event driven Architecture EDA, Programming Languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, UI technology like Angular and React, Hybrid mobile frameworks like Capacitor, Flutter, DevSecOps and Observability & Monitoring platforms
- Experience with Unified modelling using EA tools like BizzDesign, Sparx Systems & etc.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams, manage conflicts, and drive consensus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and technological advancements
- Commitment to improving customer experience through innovative IT solutions
- Minimum 15 years of experience in architecture roles, with at least 5 years as enterprise architect position
- Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF/ Zachman, ITIL, Azure/AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, preferably within the insurance industry

- Strong experience in cloud-native architecture (especially Azure, AWS, GCP or AliCloud).
- Hands-on with microservices, containers, CI/CD , resilience, and observability stacks.
- Solid knowledge of API architecture (REST, GraphQL, event-driven) and real-time integration (Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar).
- Comfortable evaluating SaaS platforms and managing integration/security architecture for them.
- Familiarity with DevOps, infrastructure as code , and cloud cost optimization.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity.

- Involved in at least 1 to 2 end to end retail IT project execution, design and implementation. Non-retail project experience with good exposure is also considered.

Is this your next challenge as Enterprise and Solution Architect Lead
We seek an employee to bridge the gap between enterprise architecture vision and practical implementation, ensuring technology choices and project designs align with business goals and architecture principles.
The challenge is to:
- Drive practical implementation of EA policies across cloud, integration, data flow, and application domains.
- Lead high-level solution design reviews, ensuring alignment with enterprise tech direction.
- Involve in major projects or projects without good solutioning team members. Involves from solution design to delivery.
Project Guidance & Design Authority
- Work closely with project teams to shape solutions that meet architecture and policy requirements.
- Act as a design authority, especially for key initiatives (e.g. cloud migration, SaaS selection, critical API integrations, application modernisation).
- Establish reference architectures, solution blueprints, and reusable design patterns.
- Help projects adopt cloud-native, API-first, scalable and cost-effective architectures.
Governance & Compliance
- Facilitate architecture reviews, maintain tech debt registers, and ensure architecture exceptions are managed properly.
- Guide teams to align with data protection, security (with support of InfoSec Team), and resilience policies.
Coaching & Collaboration
- Mentor tech leads and architects, uplift architecture awareness across Group Tech teams.
- Act as collaboration point of solutioning and delivery, for Solution Delivery Teams, BU Tech, Infra, and InfoSec Teams.
Do you have experience in?
