We are looking for an experienced Planning Manager to oversee our planning operations. This position will concentrate on improving demand forecasting, managing inventory levels, and streamlining supply planning processes to enhance efficiency and support growth. Key Responsibilities:

Demand Planning

  • Drive the monthly demand forecast process
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to forecast future demand and plan promotions and product launches
  • Conduct forecast accuracy analysis and support sales team in improving their forecast

Supply planning

  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
  • Manage production MOQ constraints and find opportunities with sales team to meet requirements
  • Maintain lead time, MOQ and inventory coverage policies to optimize stock turn

Inventory management

  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stock shortages or excess inventory
  • Communicate inventory status and performance to management and cross-functional teams
  • Drive the monthly Excess and Obsolete inventory review process

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a planning and management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence change and collaborate effectively
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying process gaps and implementing solutions
  • Proactive and forward-thinking with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficiency in planning tools and software (knowledge of Logility is an advantage)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERPs.

Job Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Responsible for Asia Pacific consensus forecast/ S&OP including Commercial/ Marketing/ Finance/ Operations/ Regulatory tied to revenue/ LBE
  • Act as a major contributor in the regional supply chain forecasting and planning process
  • Lead monthly S&OP review meetings with country planners and challenge the assumptions and numbers provided by an analysis in order to solicit functional knowledge to improve forecast accuracy
  • Attend S&OP meeting with Global demand planners for consolidating regional forecast

Supply Planning

  • Responsible for inventory optimization in Asia Pacific by initiating inventory redeployment and returns of short UBD and excess stock
  • Act as SNP super user for project initiates and attend monthly meeting
  • Centralize to setup SNP parameters in ERP system
  • Follow up critical supply request and shipments with global for countries
  • Escalate supply issues with global planner, distribution centers and global supply chain teams

Inventory Control

  • Coordinate inventory allocation and/or transfer during times of supply constrain or in excess
  • Communicate implementation plans (and relevant changes) to countries consistent with regional marketing & integrated business plans
  • Review safely stock and inventory level and drive follow up action with countries
  • Monitor DOH and drive follow up action with countries
  • Monitor Line Fill Rate and drive follow up action with countries
  • Work closely with Regional Demand Planning on Supply Chain initiatives
  • Contribute to phase-in/phase-out. Communicate implementation plans (and relevant changes) to geographies consistent with Regional Marketing & integrated business plans
  • Responsible for product rationalization recommendation and execution
  • Ownership of Inventory as a result of S&OP and consensus plans
  • Planning of the inventory levels (DIOH)
  • Planning of scrap targets and slow moving inventory usage recommendation (high level).
  • Planning of inventory UBD pipeline and replenishment strategy for consignment
  • Responsible to support the reposition of inventory within region or global and its impact on total demand

Reporting

  • Create KPI reports on sales/demand forecast accuracy, run-rate, inventory and supply including inventory level, DOH, short UBD and expiries
  • Maintain forecasts and planning factors in demand planning system

Continuous Improvement

  • Execute continuous improvement of forecasting process while maintaining costs and scrap rate at appropriate level
  • DOH, UBD and expires improvement
  • Provide trainings to team members to enhance quality of work

Requirements: Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in business/operations management/supply chain/equivalent
  • 5 to 7 years relevant demand/supply forecasting/planning experience
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
  • Proven success in improving work processes, leading change and role models positive behaviors as well as change agent skills in a complex and fast paced environment
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization, including English communication skills
  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner
  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable

This position will oversee the China duty-free business for imported fashion , managing a variety of luxury and contemporary brands. The role involves driving and managing an integrated and successful seasonal buy management process. It also includes monitoring annual sales planning to ensure each category achieves its full-year net sales targets.

About the role:

  • Executing OTB and merchandise plans to achieve sales targets and maintain the highest standards of sell-through
  • Supporting and formulating seasonal buys
  • Monitoring inventory and delivery, arranging stock transfers to maintain appropriate stock levels, and coordinating with stores and warehouses to address stock replenishment issues
  • Communicating with stakeholders on all merchandising matters
  • Preparing regular sales and inventory reports for management review
  • Occasional travel to Europe and China is required

You are the perfect one if you are/have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 6–10 years of experience in fashion merchandising
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong numerical aptitude
  • In-depth knowledge of merchandising planning processes, guidelines, and procedures
  • Familiarity with the relevant market, including competitors and the luxury sector
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong presentation and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to motivate others, foster a team-oriented environment, and develop and implement effective solutions to business challenges

The Project

Accountable for the planning function within a complex electro-mechanical (E&M) and transportation systems integration environment. Accountable for ensuring that projects/tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored. Supports project management function in delivery of the project/tender, as required, ensuring they are delivered on time and profitably. Responsible for the planning of medium to high complexity projects, a portfolio projects or sections or larger projects.

You’ll Need To Have

  • Proven experience in undertaking the full range of planning duties in complex electrical mechanical and system integration environments.
  • Ideally have worked within the transportation, industrial or complex systems environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills, clear and concise.
  • Self-starter, able to proactively initiate, drive and complete duties under minimal direct supervision.
  • In depth knowledge of schedule management tools and software.
  • Stays up to date with current key industry/professional trends.

You’ll Also Have

  • Other relevant qualifications specific to local requirements.
  • Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes in the transportation and major infrastructure sector.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare weekly reports analyzing GCSEA’s performance across various metrics such as sales, sell-through, brand productivity, and top/worst sellers.
  • Collaborate with Buying teams to develop assortment strategies balancing commerciality and creativity, identifying volume drivers, and suggesting fashion-forward styles for storytelling.
  • Recommend markdown strategies to manage inventory liabilities while supporting brand elevation.
Local Knowledge & Expertise
  • Act as a reliable liaison between stores and Allocation teams, managing deliveries, stock levels, and store requests efficiently.
  • Participate in store walk-throughs to understand demographic and shopping behaviors, adjusting assortments accordingly.
  • Monitor competitors’ pricing and merchandising strategies to identify opportunities for product and price adjustments.
Deliver Omni Channel
  • Coordinate with E-commerce teams to align product launches with store delivery schedules.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to plan assortments for online promotions such as Double-11 and 6/18.
Administrative Duties
  • Maintain accurate data for external vendors.
  • Collaborate with Brand Image and Operations teams on visual presentation and order compilation.
  • Conduct stock consolidations and ensure seasonal price changes and inventory exits are properly managed.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese is required.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Interest in product design and market trends.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Ability to present business arguments persuasively and demonstrate integrity and accountability.
