The Center for Education Innovation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Education Development Officer (Learning Design) to support the Professional Development team. The appointee will assist in the creation of instructional resources, the development of faculty professional development programs, and the exploration of emerging technologies in teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing self-paced micro-credential online training modules for faculty professional development.
- Support the creation of instructional resources such as quick guides, infographics, video tutorials, and step-by-step toolkits for the teaching community.
- Contribute to the design and production of online learning assets and activities, including videos, animations, interactive exercises, and multimedia resources for training courses (e.g., PDEV6800 - Introduction to Teaching and Learning in Higher Education ).
- Provide support in preparing communication and outreach materials (e.g., websites, newsletters, resource hubs) to showcase innovative teaching practices.
- Assist in exploring and testing emerging educational technologies (e.g., AI tools, AR/VR/XR, learning analytics) for potential applications in higher education.
- Work collaboratively with faculty and colleagues to support learning design activities that enhance teaching and student engagement.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in education, instructional design, educational technology, digital media, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant post-degree experience in higher education, instructional design, or multimedia development.
- Basic knowledge of learning design principles (e.g., constructive alignment, online/blended learning strategies).
- Experience in creating multimedia and digital learning assets; familiarity with authoring or design tools (e.g., Articulate, H5P, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an advantage.
- Good project coordination, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written English.
- A proactive learner with an interest in educational innovation, online/blended learning, and the use of technology in higher education.
Appointment Terms:
The appointment will be for an initial duration of 2 years, renewable subject to performance and funding availability.
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.

The Audit & Assurance Learning Team is responsible for developing and managing the Audit & Assurance specific training and competencies curriculum. The manager supports the Partner-in-charge and works with a small team; he/she is expected to:
- Manage his/her time across multiple Audit & Assurance Learning related projects to ensure teams are adequately supported
- Identify the appropriate instructional design strategy for Audit & Assurance training projects, incorporating innovative ideas and approaches
- Implement the proposed instructional design strategy through the design and content development of Audit & Assurance learning materials
- Demonstrate strong experience in a range of learning delivery methods and blended learning approaches, including facilitator-led workshops, e-learning, webinars, and coaching sessions specific to Audit & Assurance practices
- Carry out learning needs analysis to identify content for Audit & Assurance staff, managers, and partners' curriculum
- Design the framework and develop the architecture for Audit & Assurance training programs
- Develop and/or review Audit & Assurance training materials, monitor the development process, and design delivery strategies
- Design measurement mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness and measure the success of Audit & Assurance learning initiatives
- Prepare effective communication plans to build awareness, create learner excitement, and increase commitment to Audit & Assurance training programs
- Manage the learning budget for responsible Audit & Assurance-related projects

Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee(s) will be responsible mainly for the following:
- To assist with the word processing of content for digital publication and printing
- To proofread and check the content for accuracy
- To provide support in copyright clearance for publication of course materials
- To support the Instructional Design Team, providing assistance in preparing multimedia components, including video production; and

Requirements

Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Curriculum & Examinations Department (CED), you will be an integral part of a team for designing and managing the processes and activities necessary to develop and maintain quality examinations and study materials for a diverse range of professional examinations offered by the HKSI Institute.

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge Required:
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, securities regulations and HKEX listing/trading rules.
- Proven experience in project management
