- Work closely with classroom teachers and administration in identification of learning needs, appropriate program design, and service delivery

- Direct support for individual students through adaptations or modifications to curriculum and assessment
- Individualized or small group instruction to address academic or behavioral needs of students either within the classroom or outside for specific skill development
- Direct intensive specialized instruction utilizing specialized strategies, techniques, and, when necessary, an alternative curriculum for individuals or small groups
- Specific skill training in remediating academic, social, emotional and behavioural skill deficits
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Education, or Bachelor Degree in relevant major subject(s) with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or equivalent teaching credential with at least 10 weeks' practicum required; Master's degree in special education preferred
- Previous experience as a special education or learning support teacher or teaching assistant preferred
- 5 or more years of classroom teaching experience preferred
- High level of English proficiency in spoken and written English required
- Knowledge of current trends in educational research and development pertaining to special education; Proven expertise in facilitating student-centered learning and assessment through inquiry, differentiated instruction and application of technology in teaching and learning
- Teaching qualification recognized by the Hong Kong Education Bureau
- Current eligibility for employment in Hong Kong
- Candidate embracing the values of Christian education preferred

The ideal candidate will have a depth of knowledge and experience in the wide range of learning needs that are found in an International Kindergarten and Primary School. These may include, but are not limited to, ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, Speech and Language delay or disorder.
The candidate should be highly organised. They will lead and manage the school's learning support team as well as liaising with outside providers such as therapists where more specialist interventions are required.
The candidate should have the personal skills and empathy to have difficult professional conversations with parents around their child's need for support.
Job Summary
- Take an active role in supporting students with learning support needs

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in teaching with a specialisation in special education; or Bachelor's Degree with a Post-Graduate Certificate or Diploma in special education

- High level of English proficiency

Required Qualifications
