The Department

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of facilities and services, ensuring that all services meet established quality standards and deliver exceptional experiences to members and guests.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate staff to achieve business and customer service objectives consistently while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to keep facilities in good condition and reduce unscheduled downtime.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance, including safety audits and inspections, to ensure compliance with legal and club standards.
  • Actively solicit member feedback and utilize it to drive continuous improvements in services and programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination in achieving operational goals.
  • Manage departmental budgets, ensuring prudent cost allocation and financial performance in line with set targets.
  • Ensure all facilities are inspected regularly to maintain cleanliness, comfort, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to safety and operational improvements.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Recreation and Leisure Management or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in the leisure or recreation fields
  • Strong leadership, excellent interpersonal skills with initiatives to interact with customers and staff
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • Hands-on experience of MS Office applications
  • Customer focused, excellent people management practices, attitude and a good team player

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • University degree holder with a minimum of 10 years’ solid experience in event management, marketing and promotions of large-scale outdoor events is preferred.
  • Proven track record of achievements in handling of large-scale events from planning, budgeting, development and successful implementation. Experience of outdoor events will be an advantage.
  • Strong business sense to come up with effective marketing and promotional plans to optimise exposures for commercial sponsors.
  • Good problem-solving skills and analytical ability in resolving problems under tremendous pressure and time constraint. Strong leadership skills to lead the team in case of crisis.
  • Capable of overseeing the complete process from concept stage, through event marketing, launch and implementation.
  • Strong organisational skill and attend to details.
  • Effective communication skill is an integral part of the job in particular for negotiating and running outdoor events when legal and contractual obligations are involved.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise among assignments, willing to work longer hours during event season and to function effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Use professional expertise to recommend teaching and learning content and create custom lesson plans for students of varying skill levels.
  • Recommend appropriate GOLFTEC services for each student, including TECFIT Club Fitting, outdoor playing lessons, short game lessons, etc.
  • Document each lesson given and publish recaps to our online portal using GOLFTEC's TECSWING teaching software.
  • Maintain the GOLFTEC Training Center environment, equipment, and technology.
  • Perform daily opening and closing functions for the Training Center, including preparing teaching systems for use.
  • Participate in continuing education to enhance skills (distance learning, seminars, etc.).
  • Mobility is an essential function of this career, with physical capability to stand, bend, kneel or crouch for extended periods and lift items weighing more than 30 pounds.
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in Chinese
  • Attend GOLFTEC University, GOLFTEC's comprehensive training program
  • Document each lesson and maintain accurate records in the TECSWING system
