As a key member of HKUST Library’s Research & Learning Support team, dedicated to enhancing information literacy, research workflows, and academic success for students and researchers through innovative library services, the appointee will assist in:

  • Designing, developing, and delivering engaging information and digital literacy learning programs face to face or online.
  • Create appealing content for learning and community outreach, including videos, interactive games, quizzes, and posters.
  • Collect and analyze library data, including learning assessments, to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Contribute to the organization and management of scholarly outputs and other research support services.
  • RLS unit administration, including office management, library classes, information services, student helper supervision, and outreach activities.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ relevant work experience or a Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS) or equivalent.
  • Strong motivation, proactivity, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) is an advantage.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Academic background or experience in creative media, or data analysis and visualization will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva) and/or programming languages (e.g., Python) is highly desirable.
  • A portfolio showcasing visuals, e-learning content, or related work is strongly preferred.

Candidates with a keen interest in information literacy, visual learning, information visualization, or research management and less experience are encouraged to apply and will be considered. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.

  • Handle internal/ external customer compliant tactfully and ensure responsive problem solving for enquiries from branches and other units/ parties within benchmark
  • Participate in system enhancement and process improvement, digitization and transformation
  • Ensure all risk and compliance standards are maintained
  • Ensure daily operations are in line with operational procedures and group policies

Requirements

  • Post secondary or above, preferably degree holder in any disciplines
  • Minimum 2 years experience in consumer banking operations;
  • Practical experience in banking operations to handle external enquiry from law enforcement agencies, various court order, bankruptcy/ winding up procedures, deceased cases and consumer banking operations is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of banking practices and procedures
  • Good sense of risk awareness
  • Good communication skills and speak fluent Cantonese and English
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Candidate with less experience will also be considered

Responsibilities

Reporting To The Director Of Information Technology, The Associate Director Of Information Technology Is a Key Position In Developing IT Plans, Strategies, And Infrastructure To Meet The Vision And Mission Of The University And For a Long-term Sustainable Development. The Appointee Shall

  • work in close collaboration with the Director of Information Technology in providing leadership, direction, and guidance to ITSC;
  • consult with various academic faculties and administrative support units and put forward insights and solutions on various IT needs;
  • budget, plan, manage resources and vendors for different IT related projects;
  • perform the management, coordination, and supervision of technology related construction events for the University;
  • ensure the provision of adequate information systems and data support to staff and students to meet teaching, research and administration needs;
  • oversee the information security operations of the University; and
  • direct the development and provision of computer equipment and software.

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Associate Director of Information Technology is a key position in developing IT plans, strategies, and infrastructure to meet the vision and mission of the University and for a long-term sustainable development.   • possess a recognised bachelor’s degree or relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline;
  • have a substantial record of successful project management and effective leadership at the management level in sizable organisations;
  • have solid experience in IT infrastructure, network and system management, application development, AI technology, information security operations, and technical support;
  • preferably have knowledge of administrative practices in the tertiary education sector;
  • have knowledge of Virtual Production Technology and Extended Reality Technology will be advantageous; and

Responsibilities
Reporting To The Director Of Information Technology, The Associate Director Of Information Technology Is a Key Position In Developing IT Plans, Strategies, And Infrastructure To Meet The Vision And Mission Of The University And For a Long-term Sustainable Development. The Appointee Shall

  • work in close collaboration with the Director of Information Technology in providing leadership, direction, and guidance to ITSC;
  • consult with various academic faculties and administrative support units and put forward insights and solutions on various IT needs;
  • budget, plan, manage resources and vendors for different IT related projects;
  • perform the management, coordination, and supervision of technology related construction events for the University;
  • ensure the provision of adequate information systems and data support to staff and students to meet teaching, research and administration needs;
  • oversee the information security operations of the University; and
  • direct the development and provision of computer equipment and software.
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Associate Director of Information Technology is a key position in developing IT plans, strategies, and infrastructure to meet the vision and mission of the University and for a long-term sustainable development. The appointee shall: Applicants Should
  • possess a recognised bachelor’s degree or relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline;
  • have a substantial record of successful project management and effective leadership at the management level in sizable organisations;
  • have solid experience in IT infrastructure, network and system management, application development, AI technology, information security operations, and technical support;
  • preferably have knowledge of administrative practices in the tertiary education sector;
  • have knowledge of Virtual Production Technology and Extended Reality Technology will be advantageous; and
  • possess strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
