Role Introduction

Reports to: Global Airports Manager - Management and Support

The role is responsible for the overall performance management of airports and head office reinforcements within regional remit. He/she will monitor customer experience metrics, on-time performance (OTP), operational and safety metrics, resources, GHA management and budget.

You are required to analyse the performances and needs in Global Airports for identifying insightful actions and strive for continuous process improvement and digital development.

As an Assistant Manager Global Airports Management and Support, you should have strong analytical skills, project management, process reengineering skills, and above all are a catalyst for change with strong communication and influencing skills.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management and Outport Engagement

  • Maintain a close working relationship with Regional Head of Airports (RHoA) in managing outport airports and enhance performance culture.
  • Manage a healthy relationship with outport airport management teams; ASD regional account manager for outport airports, as the prime contact point in ASD head office on any airport management issues
  • Monitor all customer and operational performance metrics and work with RHoA, Senior/Airport Operations Manager (S/AOM) on improvement plans; work with RHoA and S/AOMs to ensure productivity improvements, manpower management and GHA performance
  • Work with the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and other key stakeholders in head office including other departments and outport to ensure the action plan in place are effective in improving outport performance; share innovative ideas or best practices to assist the management of outports to improve performance
  • Collate feedback on head office policies and products implementations to ensure operational reliability; organise and conduct regional airport meetings, regular conference calls and visits to outport to ensure adequate engagements to outport airport teams from head office

Manpower planning & recruitment

  • Oversee and support manpower and resource planning at ports within remit; represent ASD in the outport airport recruitment selection process for frontline leaders; work with the Cathay Academy (CXA) to ensure required leadership training is scoped, planned and delivered

Performance Management & Process Improvement

  • Maintain management manuals with the latest airport customer service standards; develop and manage computerised airport performance monitoring and analytical tool(s), including ensuring the accuracy of the data/database from various business units and providing insightful dashboards for performance improvement and strategic planning
  • Propose and facilitate the capture of new data over the business processes in Global Airports; promote self-service analytics in the Global airport communities.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead various digital and re-engineering projects to enhance operational efficiencies (e.g. OTD Global); partner with PPL Internal Communications & Engagement to drive engagement, reward and recognition (e.g. The Hub, The Niki & Betsy Awards)
  • Deputise Global Airports Manager - Management and Support

Requirements

  • University graduate or specialised training or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years in a position to acquire both in-depth and broad levels of managerial or supervisory skills
  • Good experience in airport operations is a must; fluent spoken and written English and Mandarin; good understanding of airport operation knowledge
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and project management skills with competency in interpreting data into management information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience of working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to travel overseas extensively when required; computer literacy e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database management
  • Strong working knowledge or experience of outport airport operations; good interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills; clear expression and presentation in communication and a strong influencer
  • Capable of making timely decision; experience in working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong in managing analytical tools (e.g. Qlikview, Qlik sense); process re-engineering / mapping skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Corporate Action under Hong Kong Wealth Management Operations (WMO) to ensure the relevant processing/reporting are properly processed within pre-defined cutoff time and timely escalation for irregular cases detected, if any
  • Assist supervisor to prioritize various processing jobs to achieve optimize operational efficiency
  • Ensure periodical reports as required by management/services partners including fund houses are delivered accurately according to the prescribed time schedule
  • Understand the bank policies on information protection, security control and regulatory compliance and report problem and exception to supervisor immediately
  • To review and update SOPs regularly in order to ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines/regulations
  • Assist supervisor to train and coaching of team members

Requirements

  • University graduated / Degree holder in Banking and Finance or related disciplines
  • At least 8 years hands-on experience on Investment products and Corporate Action processing
  • Investment and Banking business knowledge is preferable. Digital mindset and experience in various custodian/settlement system
  • Strong product knowledge in Investment products (such as Equities, Fixed Income, Unit Trust and Derivatives) and Corporate Actions process in both local and overseas markets covering mandatory and voluntary events
  • Solid experience in running process teams in Settlements, Reconciliation, Risk and Control, Markets and Custody to ensure completeness of processing with strong governance and controls mindset
  • Good organizational, communication and strong inter-personal skills as candidate is required to manage various activities within the team, and to be able to communicate effectively with relationship manager, COO Office and technology team
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with key internal clients including business, operations, and colleagues from the SG regional team
  • Solid experience and knowledge in system enhancement project and process improvement/re-engineering
  • Experience in Regulatory reporting such as SFC, GSIB, HKMA, FATCA/CRS, FRR & QI reports etc
  • Private banking knowledge is preferable. Digital mindset and experience in Avaloq would be an advantage

In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Business Function
Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support Corporate Action under Hong Kong Wealth Management Operations (WMO) to ensure the relevant processing/reporting are properly processed within pre-defined cutoff time and timely escalation for irregular cases detected, if any
  • Assist supervisor to prioritize various processing jobs to achieve optimize operational efficiency
  • Ensure periodical reports as required by management/services partners including fund houses are delivered accurately according to the prescribed time schedule
  • Understand the bank policies on information protection, security control and regulatory compliance and report problem and exception to supervisor immediately
  • To review and update SOPs regularly in order to ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines/regulations
  • Assist supervisor to train and coaching of team members
Requirements
  • University graduated / Degree holder in Banking and Finance or related disciplines
  • At least 8 years hands-on experience on Investment products and Corporate Action processing
  • Investment and Banking business knowledge is preferable. Digital mindset and experience in various custodian/settlement system
  • Strong product knowledge in Investment products (such as Equities, Fixed Income, Unit Trust and Derivatives) and Corporate Actions process in both local and overseas markets covering mandatory and voluntary events
  • Solid experience in running process teams in Settlements, Reconciliation, Risk and Control, Markets and Custody to ensure completeness of processing with strong governance and controls mindset
  • Good organizational, communication and strong inter-personal skills as candidate is required to manage various activities within the team, and to be able to communicate effectively with relationship manager, COO Office and technology team
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with key internal clients including business, operations, and colleagues from the SG regional team
  • Solid experience and knowledge in system enhancement project and process improvement/re-engineering
  • Experience in Regulatory reporting such as SFC, GSIB, HKMA, FATCA/CRS, FRR & QI reports etc
  • Private banking knowledge is preferable. Digital mindset and experience in Avaloq would be an advantage

  • To formulate and review the guidelines and standard procedures on wealth management selling activities to ensure compliance with internal requirements and regulatory bodies’ circulars and publications.
  • To arrange with IT to update and enhance the Bank’s computer system on wealth management activities to cope with the requirements laid down by the regulatory bodies and indicated in the internal guidelines and standard procedures.
  • To provide update information, advice and changes of regulatory guidelines and rules to frontline staff who participate in regulated activities.
  • To assist and review credit proposals and to provide advice and guidance to branches in order to ensure all product financing businesses are conducted in comply with Risk Management’s requirements.
  • To support ad-hoc business projects and task force assigned by management.
  • To oversee the operation of Branch Support and ensure effective and efficient support to all distribution channels

Requirements:

  • University graduate or above
  • 7 years or above relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years in wealth management and premium financing is preferable
  • Substantial knowledge of respective responsible areas / functions
  • Well-versed in relevant policies and procedures of the Bank as well as regulatory requirements
  • Good communication and people management skills
  • Fulfill Relevant Individual (RI) & Technical Representative (TR) requirement is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skill and project management know-how
  • Sales experience in wealth management is an advantage
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin
