Job Summary:
The IT Group Risk Management Systems (GRMS) department is responsible for implementing and supporting systems for the Group Risk Management division. We are seeking an experienced IT professional with expertise in technical project management.
Job Duties:
Being part of Group Risk Management Systems team, you will lead the onboarding of a SaaS system solution to HKEX, ensuring that it aligns to the firm’s IT standards and best practices, as well as compliance to security and operational guidelines so as to provide maintenance of the system going forward.
Also you will manage and drive the migration of a containerized application from public cloud to on-premise private cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Participate in project planning, timeline management, change management, issue management and release planning. Monitor project progress, ensure adherence to project milestones, and effectively communicate project status to stakeholders
- Vendor Management: Serve as the contact point for external vendors. Monitor vendor performance and the timeliness and quality of their deliverables. Ensure vendors receive essential and relevant information and requirements, and escalate issues to stakeholders promptly.
- Business Requirements: Collaborate with internal user groups to deliver requirements to the vendor and development team. Understand business needs and technical solutions to ensure alignment. Communicate risks and gaps in functional specifications as necessary.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Review test plans and strategies with the vendor and development team to ensure functional requirements are met. Develop test plans and strategies to confirm system compliance with technical requirements on reliability, performance, contingency, security, etc.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and other IT teams. Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide regular updates on project status and deliverables.
- Technical Acceptance: Evaluate documents and evidence provided by vendors and development teams on system design, testing, security, deployment topology, and conformance to technical standards. Ensure the system is fit for use before deployment in production.
- Project Financials: Track project costs and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
- Documentation and Training: Create detailed internal documents as well as review vendor and development team documents for quality and completeness. Collaborate with vendors on detailed training plans.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization. Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and frameworks to enhance future implementations' efficiency and effectiveness.
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in IT project management, including at least 3 years of experience in the financial industry.
- Technical Skills: Concepts of infrastructure technologies and IT security concept are needed. Experience with cloud platforms is a plus.
- Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex technical requirements, identify potential challenges, and devise solutions flexibly.
- Communication: Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Job Duties:
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to join us in Group Risk Management System application team. The incumbent will have the opportunity to develop and work with new technology. He/she will be part of the mission critical platform development team and will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned, enthusiastic technologist across the IT Division as well as the exposure to work with various business stakeholders across HKEX.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain models for option pricing, volatility calibration, margin calculation and other risk management tools.
- Carry out duties in system development life cycle, including effort estimation, collecting user requirements, system design, programming, functional and technical testing and production migration, in accordance with the IT development standards and guidelines, and company-wide policies and standards.
- Collaborate with risk managers, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of models and tools to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting issues related to quantitative models and tools.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, IT Security, compliance team, to ensure the security and compliance of the applications.
- Undertake assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 4 years' system development experience, preferably in financial services industry.
- Solid experience in application design and development in Java, C++, Python, Linux platform.
- Experience with distributed computing framework, MicroServices, containerized applications, Cloud technology.
- Familiarity with object storage, databases, noSQL and data manipulation tools for handling and analyzing large datasets
- Understanding of quantitative finance concepts, including derivatives pricing, risk management, and portfolio optimization is a definite advantage.

Job Duties:
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to join us in Group Risk Management System application team. The incumbent will have the opportunity to develop and work with new technology. He/she will be part of the mission critical platform development team and will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned, enthusiastic technologist across the IT Division as well as the exposure to work with various business stakeholders across HKEX.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain models for option pricing, volatility calibration, margin calculation and other risk management tools.
- Carry out duties in system development life cycle, including effort estimation, collecting user requirements, system design, programming, functional and technical testing and production migration, in accordance with the IT development standards and guidelines, and company-wide policies and standards.
- Collaborate with risk managers, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of models and tools to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting issues related to quantitative models and tools.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, IT Security, compliance team, to ensure the security and compliance of the applications.
- Undertake assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 4 years' system development experience, preferably in financial services industry.
- Solid experience in application design and development in Java, C++, Python, Linux platform.
- Experience with distributed computing framework, MicroServices, containerized applications, Cloud technology.
- Familiarity with object storage, databases, noSQL and data manipulation tools for handling and analyzing large datasets
- Understanding of quantitative finance concepts, including derivatives pricing, risk management, and portfolio optimization is a definite advantage.

Position Description
Assist annual budget preparation, subsequent forecast updates and business reviews and Assist to lead MM related IT projects from user perspective.
What You'll Do
- Assist annual budget preparation, subsequent forecast updates and business reviews
- Monitor revenue / expenses per budget, analyze variances and alert senior on risk with potential resolutions under minimum supervision
- Assist to liaise with Commercial & Stakeholders for business case development and RFP response.
- Assist to liaise with Finance for departmental financial activities and support internal BUs for re-charge analysis.
- Assist to lead MM related IT projects from user perspective
- Develop criteria for filtering and validating System Requests generated from MM sections / for MM owned systems and co-ordinate with IT for development.
- Co-ordinate with IT and key users to establish critical guidelines for handling of major issues and configurations for MM systems
- Produce SR analysis and identify potential system enhancement initiatives
- Liaise with users and document user requirements for system development
- Explore and formulate initiative to streamline / optimize existing operations
- Updates to MM-BCP as per corporate guidelines
- Process user enquiries independently.
- Lead and supervise junior members of the team.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned
- Job Requirements & Competencies
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
- Strong PC skills especially Microsoft Office and database applications
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of statistical applications
- Knowledge and qualification in auditing skills an advantage
- Good supervisory skills
- Qualification & Experience
- Degree holder in relevant disciplines or equivalent with minimum 2 years relevant experience
