**Role Purpose**
The Asia Regional FX & Commodities function in Hong Kong is the evolution of a regional structure created to support the FX & Commodities Operations target operating model for the 19 sites across the Asia Pacific region.
**Responsibilities:**
+ The primary remit of this role is to collaborate with Global Treasury / Capital Management team to supervise the daily processing for HSBC Asia Holdings LTD (HAHO) based in Hong Kong, trade lifecycle events and settlements are effected within tight deadlines and are in compliance of all risk controls.
+ The candidate will provide a near-shore support for HSBC Macau overseeing the offshore team's daily processing activities to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

The mission of the role is to lead and drive the global air logistics gateway operations, this includes the dotted line leadership of the gateway managers, setting of rules of engagement, definition of global gateway standards and the accountability for the overall results within the gateways.
**How you create impact**
+ Leadership of the global gateway teams, incl. warehousing and transportation within the gateway operations.
+ Evolvement, creation and maintenance of global gateway standards, particularly rules of engagement.
+ Identify system gaps, define demands and moderate /drive the development of accordingly systems executed by GA-I team
+ Enable global Air logistics growth in conjunction with MA-XX and MA-XD to facilitate their tasks, by best possible foundation for optimized buying, cost efficient production and stable performance
+ Responsibility for the global gateway P/L and correlated topics like incentives
+ Drive productivity and competitiveness through Global Gateway SOPs, operational framework, synchronized centralization and if feasible outsourcing and automation (covering operations, accounting, warehousing, transportation)
+ Evaluate the current Gateway network and operations and make recommendations that would enhance / streamline our operations
+ Establish and monitor KPI's for the Gateways
+ Evaluate line haul programs feeding/de-feeding the Gateways to look for areas of alignment and leverage that will drive for faster transit times and cost benefits.
+ Hold periodic Gateway conference calls & meetings to develop a cohesive team
+ Evaluate, propose and implement strategy for possible new import and export Gateways
**What we would like you to bring**
+ High knowledge of freight forwarding, operations and import-export regulations
+ Expert level of knowledge on operational procedures KN internal and external
+ High knowledge of the KN systems landscape
+ High knowledge of financial setups and procedures
+ Bachelor / Master's degree in business administration / economics / logistics desirable or equivalent via work experience and continued education - Knowledge of the air cargo industry
+ High degree of self-motivation and creativity.

+ Excellent communication skills
+ Willingness to travel.
+ Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as **an Assistant Operations Manager, Banking Ops (10896)** .
**In this role you will:**
+ Manage and monitor the performance of onshore and offshore sites with quality output and service turnaround times and provide coaching as needed including maintaining effective MI to enable ongoing evaluation and work with GSC for future development strategy.
+ Attend Court Affirmation process.
+ Customer & Official Enquiry (eg. receive and provide physical documentation to law firms and government bodies).
+ Handling Customer Relations and enquiry.
+ Contribute to the financial control of the department.
+ Manage the Business Recovery Plan, drills and required documentation update.

**To be successful you will need:**
