Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Plant Operation Manager to lead our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with a workforce of 600 individuals specializing in high precision machining processes and powder metallurgy components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Industry 4.0 technologies, advanced automation systems, and AI-driven operational strategies. This role demands an innovative leader who develops talent while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. This role will be based in China.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Management:

2. Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

3. Lead and motivate a team of 600 employees to achieve organizational goals.
4. Develop and implement strategic plans for production enhancement.

5. Industry 4.0 & Automation:

6. Champion the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies into operations.

7. Implement advanced automation systems for manufacturing efficiency.
8. Promote the use of AI for predictive maintenance, quality control, and decision-making.

9. Precision Machining & Powder Metallurgy:

10. Ensure optimal setup and operation of high precision machining equipment.

11. Oversee the manufacturing of powder metallurgy components to meet quality standards.
12. Collaborate with R&D for process improvements and new product development.

13. Talent Development & Ownership Mindset:

14. Develop and execute training programs that enhance skills and foster an ownership mindset among employees.

15. Mentor and coach individuals to grow into future leaders within the company.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant operations, with a focus on machining and metallurgy.
• Proven track record in leading large teams and implementing Industry 4.0 and automation technologies.
• Strong understanding of AI applications in manufacturing.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Job functions:

• Oversee the operations of flow of goods and materials, including management of shipping, transportation, and custom declaration, and partnership with PMC and warehouse operations to meet order fulfillment, quality and cost objectives
• Effective plan and managing teams and resources to support business goals & direction together with demand and capacity planning ahead
• Review processes, develop and implement supply chain strategies and process improvement solutions to meet company goals
• Drive for continuous improvement of truck utilization, cost effectiveness & control, and customer satisfaction level
• Timely liaise with cross functions and regions within the Group to strive for operational excellence, and with customers and suppliers when encountering the issues of operations, cycle time, quality and audit
• Manage the logistics suppliers' performance and ensure the operation is efficient and cost effective
• Perform ad hoc assignment by management

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Supply Chain Management (SCM), Operations Management, Logistics Management or relevant discipline
• Over 8 years' experience in Supply Chain/logistics operations in PRC manufacturing field, of which 3 years in a managerial position
• Familiar with the China logistic and customs policies and regulations is essential
• Knowledge of Vietnam logistic and customs policies and regulations is an advantage
• Good business acumen, good team player, self-motivated, result-oriented
• Strong planning & organization skills, and change management skill
• Good communication & interpersonal skills
• Basic command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Mandarin
• Workbase in Dongguan factory
• Travel to Vietnam in need

Job responsibilities:

• Lead R&D Team on researching new technologies, ideation, and creating new solutions or improving existing ones
• Deploy strategies and advance engineering techniques to enhance product performance
• Lead and monitor R&D projects for total solutions from development to manufacturing cycle
• Monitor project schedule adherence and assure competitive costs in development and production
• Explore new technology opportunities to maintain product competitiveness and customer expectations
• Assess material suitability and product construction to meet engineering and quality requirements
• Perform ad hoc assignments by management

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline
• Min. 8 years of relevant engineering and project management experience in the Manufacturing and Engineering field, with minimum 3 years in managerial position
• Experience in the paper product /printing/ toys industry is an advantage
• Experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean manufacturing, and 6 Sigma is preferable
• Strong in leadership, project management and result-oriented
• Good problem solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and Mandarin
