The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks dynamic, high-caliber and experienced professionals to join our Exhibitions and Digital Business Department. To strengthen Hong Kong's role as Asia's international business platform, we organise more than 30 world-class international trade fairs in Hong Kong each year. These fairs, which cover various industries and sectors, create opportunities for companies to promote their products or services to buyers from all over the world.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Section Head, Business Development, the job-holder is to act as the project manager of assigned projects . Main duties include:
- To plan and execute the exhibitor recruitment plan in local and worldwide markets to achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets
- To liaise with external and internal parties, including local and overseas trade/industry associations, other organisers and co-organisers, to develop and implement the projects
- To coordinate with and to work closely with worldwide sales agents for exhibitor recruitment
- To develop and maintain good relations with industry players to understand their needs and market trend as well as identify opportunities for promoting further business
- To expand and upgrade the exhibition by recruiting quality exhibitors and promoting new and interesting products on exhibits
- To conduct sales activities if necessary such as briefing sessions, sales trips, roadshows, etc.
- To provide professional and good services to customers
- A recognised university degree with at least 10 years’ solid working experience, preferably with sizeable organisations, in any of the following areas: sales and marketing; trading; exhibition/event organisation; project management; public/corporate relations; or network/relationship building etc.
- Good understanding of Hong Kong’s economy, trade and business arena covering key industries and markets as well as opportunities and challenges of SMEs
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; knowledge of a third language will be an advantage
- A strong team player with excellent leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and detail-minded with good project management ability
- Outgoing and be appreciate to work with people of different cultures
- Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressures
- Willing to work overtime and on weekends or public holidays as necessary
- Tentative employment period: September 2025 – December 2025
The successful candidate will be appointed on a fixed-term contract basis, renewable subject to operational needs. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

- Draft and issue compelling media releases and oversee media monitoring for company events and key issues
- Create and manage content for social media platforms including WeChat, LinkedIn, X, ensuring alignment with branding objectives
- Support different business lines in media engagements and corporate storytelling
Employee Communications and Event Management:
- Support the management of staff communications events i.e. global Town Halls, company anniversary celebrations, employee events
- Draft and issue news stories on the intranet, staff communications notes etc.
Corporate philanthropy: Oversee the operations and marketing of CSI’s charitable trust
- Produce quality industry/peer research and benchmarking analysis
- Develop marketing and communications materials to promote the charitable initiatives
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations of charitable initiatives
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or higher in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
- 6-8 years’ experience in B2B communications, media or marketing either in-house or with a public relations consultancy in the financial or related industry
- Have excellent English and Chinese (Mandarin) written and spoken communications skills, including the ability to write English and Simplified Chinese copy for marketing documents
- Have Web and intranet writing and content management skills and experience
- Demonstrated success in branding campaigns and event management
- Experience in managing or supporting corporate philanthropy initiatives is highly preferred
- Understand the media landscape and communications trends, and be confident in dealing with media and journalists
- A team player, driven and proactive
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint
