Job Responsibilities:

1. Prepare Solidworks drawings for component parts. (Solidworks)
2. Ensure mating parts and assemblies can fit together well in the design stage.
3. Use limits and fits to provide acceptable tolerance ranges.
4. Work closely with customer for new product designs/concepts.
5. Help to debug products in the first shot stage.
6. Update and keep records of design changes.
7. Issue drawing updates when component spec or design changes.
8. Where possible, use working models. Prototype samples to prove concept.
9. Provide design criteria and product specifications.

Job Requirement:

1. Bachelor degree in engineering major.
2. 8 years or above working experience in a design environment.
3. Preferably in the electrical/home appliances/consumer good or toys fields.
4. Hands on experience with product design and mechanical debug.
5. Solidworks software use is must.
6. CET-4 or above. Reasonable level of English reading, writing and speaking.
7. Pro-active attitude, problem solver mindset.
8. Basic knowledge of common process: Plastic injection, blow molding, IML, CNC machining, extrusion, stamping, forging/casting etc.
9. Familiar with PRD (product requirement document) and CMF (color material finish).
10. Basic knowledge of common process: Plastic injection, blow molding, IML, CNC machining, extrusion, stamping, forging/casting etc.
11. Basic knowledge of common assembling process: snap-fit, sonic welding, mech fastening (screw), laser welding, hot-plate welding etc.Knowledge in statistic tools (SPC, CP/CPk) is plus.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Mechanical Design Lead of LiquidStack – liquid cooling, this role will primarily design and visualize mechanical concepts in 3D and 2D for mechanical engineering purposes. Output of work effort are technical drawings for product designs, project designs while supporting external presentations/proposals with visuals. This role will work very closely with the engineering team and all cross functional departments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs and prepares industrial mechanical drawings in 3D and 2D for manufacturing
• Verifies the accuracy, manufacturability of all drawings, and creates new part IDs and maintains BOMs
• Collaborates extensively with the engineering team, product management team and/or other cross functional teams as required
• Provides support for presentations and proposals with visuals and animations
• Acts in a manner consistent with LiquidStack's core values and according to LiquidStack's Code of Business Conduct and Ethical Behavior

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Higher Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or similar discipline
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Experience in SolidWorks PDM is a strong advantage
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial or manufacturing 3D and 2D design and visualizations
• Experience with photo-realistic rendering and animations is a plus
• Attention to detail
• Very good command of English (native preferred), fluency in Cantonese is a must, ability to communicate in Mandarin is preferred
• Knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Knowledge in Adobe illustrator, Photoshop and BOM or ERP software is an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Participate in design drawings from 'Tender and/or Design Intent' with the help of the Designers
• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings and sketches to facilitate the smooth running of projects and formal submission
