Role, Objective and Challenge
TRAILME is digitalizing and transforming outdoor environments and events (e.g., trails and trail running). The role is to research and develop an innovative mass participation platform for outdoor (B2B) by the integration of core technologies, like IoT beacon, geofencing, GPS, wearables, and RFID technologies to provide safety, timing and tracking services. The objective is to enable mass participation and fan engagement.

Key tasks
Research and develop out of each core technology applicable solutions for the specific requirements and integration in outdoor usage to provide (online and offline) precise location, safety tracking, navigation and orientation guidance and performance data for the user of our platform.

• Integration of RFID for precise timing at critical locations
• Build a geofencing mapping solution (online and offline) to provide safety status
• Provide turn-by-turn navigation instructions on given courses
• Provide deep data information to be used for machine learning and performance analytics
