- Report serious incidents to senior management and relevant regulatory authorities as required.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize incident data for local and global leadership.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to regional OSH teams, OU/country leaders, and managers, fostering stronger employee engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, industry bodies, and internal stakeholders.

- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of systems and tools used for data management.
- Develop region-specific emergency response plans, including Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and conduct regular drills.
- Coordinate emergency response activities with local authorities and internal teams to ensure readiness.
Background:
- Proven experience in OSH, ideally within construction, engineering, manufacturing or elevator sector.
- Extensive knowledge of regional and international OSH regulations, standards (including ISO
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze safety data, identify trends and recommend practical safety solutions.
- Certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent is preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for identifying and interpreting EHS-related laws and regulations and continuously promoting operational compliance.
- Responsible for applying permits related to safety, occupational hygiene, environmental protection, and fire services for the FAB.
- Serve as the liaison with the Fire Services Department, Occupational Safety & Health Council, and Environmental Protection Department to ensure effective communication and compliance with regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or above.

- Familiar with Hong Kong's legal and regulatory framework in industrial safety, environmental protection, occupational health, fire safety, and emergency response.
- Experienced in communication and administrative approval processes with the Fire Services Department, Occupational Safety & Health Council, and Environmental Protection Department.
- Familiar with the compliance permits required at each stage of a manufacturing industry/factory/fabrication.
- Knowledgeable in NFPA, SEMI, and FM standards relevant to semiconductor FABs or the manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in contractor compliance processes and hazardous work regulations.
- Detail-oriented, self-driven and able to work with minimal guidance.
- Language proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
- Good command of written English and Chinese (both Traditional and Simplified Chinese).
The initial employment contract spans 12 months and can be renewed with a longer tenure upon mutual agreement of the incumbent and MRDI. The incumbent will normally work five days a week. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A gratuity of 15% of the salary will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the contract.

Position Description

What You'll Do

- Incident Investigation: Investigate reports of accidents or incidents and take appropriate corrective actions. Ensure that learning are shared across the network and are applied where applicable.

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) plan, organise and manage laboratory and research safety related programmes (e.g. research safety, occupational hygiene, dangerous goods, controlled chemicals, chemical wastes, etc .);
(b) foster and maintain strong collaborative relationship with stakeholders and promote a safety culture;

Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree, preferably with a master's degree or above, in Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Occupational Hygiene, or related disciplines;
(b) at least eight years of solid and relevant post-qualification experience at supervisory level, preferably gained in tertiary education sector and/or in laboratory environment;
(c) relevant professional qualification(s) in occupational hygiene or safety (e.g. RPH, CIH or COH);
(d) a good knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and standards;
(e) excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills;
(f) good interpersonal skills and leadership qualities; and
(g) effective communication skills and a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
