Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provides second-line investigation and diagnosis.
- Resolves and closes incidents/service requests as per help desk procedures & allocated timelines.
- Escalates unresolved incidents/service requests within agreed timescales.
- Liaises with clients, other IT support groups and 3rd party providers when necessary.
- Performs staging of PCs, IMAC (Install, Move, Add and Change).
- Conducts hardware and software maintenance and support.
- Troubleshoots and resolves PC incidents and/or VIP requests.
- Assists local Server Team when server maintenance is required.
- Special events coverage/Conference support.
- Local network support and/or assists centralized Network team.
- Proven work experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in repairing and troubleshooting PC-related hardware, software, and network issues.
- Ability to build software images for laptops and desktops.
- Strong communication skills to handle calls from colleagues and customers, providing technical assistance over the phone or email.
- Experience in performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
- Familiarity with documenting the implementation of Helpdesk requests/issues through the company’s ticketing system.
- Technical coaching and mentoring skills to support other help-desk employees.
- Knowledge of desktop configuration management and maintaining accurate inventory for all IT equipment.
- Fluent Cantonese and English.

As the Lead Technician you are the primary ‘mobile’ contact for all Johnson Controls technical service issues, responsible for trouble shooting and resolving issues on highly complex systems according to a defined process, service agreement and customer needs.
How You Will Do It
- Supervise a team to provide support in retrofit work, testing and commissioning, installation, service and maintenance works, including hardware, software and trouble-shooting projects
- Ensure quality of work to the satisfaction of customer and meet the agreed statement and quality standard
- Coordinate all the site works including those performed by subcontractors to ensure compliance with requirement
- Prepare maintenance and retrofit proposal and tender
- Maintain good relationship with customers
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities

Who will you be working with?
You will be working with our maintenance team who are expertise to ensure on-site work are performed safely, on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible to provide technical and operational solution, including but not limited to technician training, provide expertise on day to day repair and maintenance to technician, deliver sounded technical answer to MTRC enquiries.
What will your typical day look like?
- Assist Field Service and Operations Manager in overseeing service team.
- Provide technical and operational solution to Field Service and Operations Manager for day-to-day task.
- Liaise with customers, group sister companies (OE) for logistic & technical support.
- Assist management for managerial work.
- Manpower planning for performing field service works.
- Prepare progress / field services reports.
- Complete ad hoc assignments from Field Service and Operations Manager.
- Any other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Degree holder in E&M Engineering or other discipline. High diploma with sound experience / knowledge will also be considered.
- 3-5 years of relevant working experience, experience in rolling stock or related industries is a definite advantage. Software background is preferred.
- Previous customer service / customer relation experience with be an advantage
- Written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin is a MUST.
- Holder of Hong Kong Driver License class 1 and 2 is an advantage.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with all levels of personnel.
- Proven experience in staff supervision is an advantage.
- Able to pick up different product lines knowledge & transfer to service team member.
- Good team player, responsible, diplomatic, proactive and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Experience in Occupational Health and Safety and ISO standard is a definite advantage.

Within our Laboratory Equipment Division, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Field Service Engineer for general laboratory equipment, monitoring system and sample preparation and analysis system, and if required extending to other product lines.

In the position of Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering and build service excellence above our customer expectations.
**Job Duties:**
+ Represents our company in a positive, professional manner in all dealing with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal.
+ Own and deliver service commitments and execute on installations, calibrations, preventative maintenance, training and repairs.
+ Responsible for providing services remote or at site within the agreed conditions; sets the right priorities.
+ Service reporting, documentation and creation of procedure/protocols for internal and customer needs.
+ Maintain high level of customer allegiance by building strong customer relationships and promoting on excellent customer experience.
+ Partner with our commercial colleagues to deliver customer deals that can be implemented profitably and meet/exceed customer expectations
+ Responsible for optimisation and accuracy of the provided tools and consignment parts.
