As one of our Global Partnership Managers, you will be a key player in helping to build the greatest insurance conferences in Asia, held in Hong Kong. Your mission is to own the full sales cycle in selling high-value conference sponsorships to prospects in the insurance and insurtech sectors. In order to be successful, your main duties will include:
- Build new business revenue: Deliver credible, professional sales pitches to new prospects in order to achieve ambitious sales targets
- Pipeline development: Work with our marketing and analyst team to source, contact and set up meetings with potential sponsors
- Establish client relationships: Work closely with our content and delivery teams to ensure best-in-class delivery
- Leverage our expertise: Work hand-in-hand with our content team to create compelling pitches to inspire our prospects
You possess a strong work ethic with a high sense of urgency, and you have both the drive and desire to be the very best at what you do. Role overview: The Strategic Partnerships Manager - APAC will spearhead deeper expansion into the data center cooling market, combining technical expertise in data center operations and/or liquid cooling technologies with strong business development skills. The ideal candidate will establish and nurture strategic partnerships with chip manufacturers, server makers, and liquid cooling hardware providers to integrate our cooling fluids and solutions into their operations. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, collaboration across functions, project management, and a willingness to push the organization into new ways of operating.
Responsibilities Include
- Strategic Partnership Development: Identify and engage potential industry partners (chip manufacturers, server makers, cooling system providers) to develop strategic alliances and promote the adoption of our cooling fluids and solutions.
- Market Penetration Strategy & Pipeline Development: Develop and execute market entry strategies for high performance computing sectors; build and manage a prospective business pipeline for tracking progress and forecasting growth.
- Technical Sales Support: Provide expert technical support during client interactions to demonstrate benefits and applications of our cooling fluids and solutions.
- Industry Presence and Networking: Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and forge new relationships.
- Feedback and Market Intelligence: Collect and analyze market feedback and competitive intelligence to inform product development and innovation strategies.
- Other duties as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
Primary Interactions - Internal and External
Internally, collaborate with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to align product capabilities with market needs and coordinate market entry strategies. Externally, build relationships with key industry leaders, potential and current partners, and technical collaborators at target companies.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- At least 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or technical roles with at least 3 years in the data center, semiconductor, or related industries
- Primarily remote but requires significant travel to client sites (Taiwan, Mainland China, etc.), industry events, and partner meetings, up to 50% of the time
What Will Set You Apart
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or continued post-secondary education in a related technical field
- Experience in managing strategic partnerships and/or technical sales in the technology sector
- Certifications in project management or business development
- Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to identify opportunities, design operating models, and implement them in the market
- Strong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure and/or cooling technologies
- Excellent strategic planning and business development skills
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage partnerships
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
