Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Overseeing execution of query management for the client, oversight of transactional activity, providing insights to clients on how to optimize through Relationship/Business Reviews, coordination of a client's global Treasury and Cash Management initiatives and projects, and proactively managing the GPS client relationship on a day-to-day basis
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders in line with HSBC's engagement culture and being a positive influence on a one team environment
- Accountable for supporting the delivery of client service excellence as well as effectively managing any risks and issues
- Identify and introduce service improvements to improve the overall client experience, review client interactions providing client education on the self-service tools available
- Interaction with other global units including clients, global service teams (GSCs), Sales, Product Management and other elements of Client Management
Requirements
To be successful you will need
- Previous banking experience working with Commercial Banking/FIs/Corporates in sales, relationship, or account management role. Specific experience with large multi-national corporations or financial institutions including Global/Regional HQ names will be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of global cash management and understanding of the latest digitalization landscape
- Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services and able to deliver effective solutions
- Experience in working within a fast-paced work environment with continually changing lines of communication, technological advances with a proficient level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural, and regulatory issues.
- Take ownership of issues and liaise with the relevant parties to make informed decisions based on experience and information to hand to effectively resolve problems, taking initiative to resolve with minimal information

Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Manage the liquidity and cash management needs of a portfolio of Financial Institutions, Multi-National Corporations and Local Corporates
- As Regional/Global Account Manager, maintain regular dialogue with in-country client service teams to foster teamwork and cooperation. Provide guidance to in-country service staff on service-related issues, managing escalations from client's regional office (RHQ/GHQ); Maintain close relationships with decision makers and key influencers in the client's RHQ/GHQ Treasury and Finance organisation
- Accountable for the retention of annual revenue of your portfolio of clients, including capturing opportunities and supporting growth of your clients; Accountable for the identification of opportunities to deliver Client Service excellence locally, regionally and globally; effectively managing any risks and issues. The role holder must have a strong understanding of the cash management business including identifying and dealing with actual or potential business or relationship risks
- Proactively review global client activity and existing solutions with GPS to identify any opportunities to improve the client's experience with HSBC. This includes but is not limited to; reducing service queries and reject/error rates, streamlining processing time, improved data/payment security, identify opportunities to streamline client processes, eliminate redundancy, strengthen relationships and increase wallet share by recommending new products & solutions that will benefit the client's business operations
- Coordinate global service delivery with counterparts (or designated service contacts) in other regions/countries across HSBC markets and be the central global contact point for service escalation matters; Point person to lead projects focused on existing business retention (i.e. GBS/TWIST billing global setups, file format conversions, Connect Digital migration)
- Engage with their clients on a regular basis as agreed with the client. This includes but is not limited to a client's Treasury Operations and IT teams and the wider Finance and Treasury Organization; Gather and maintain specific intimate knowledge of their client's Treasury operations and how they interface with HSBC products and services
- Understand how HSBC products and services meet their client's operational needs and how to enhance those products and services to streamline and improve processing for both HSBC and the client reducing the need for daily interaction; Work globally with internal partners as a project manager for clients bespoke Treasury projects ensuring client deadlines are understood, achievable and met. Must be comfortable negotiating with their client if deadlines are unreasonable
- Engage and work cross functionally with various internal partners (Operations, Technology, Product, Sales and LoB) coordinating client interactions and recommendations relating to existing GPS business. Must be flexible and willing to go outside work assignment boundaries to ensure their client's satisfaction; Develop client tailored Client Existing Service/Business Reviews, using key client metrics to proactively identify issues and trends including things like payment flows, rejection and return rates, and industry benchmarks. Work with the client and internal stakeholders to remediate and improve pain points to benefit the client
Requirements
To be successful you will need
- Previous banking experience working with Financial Institutions/Corporates in a sales, relationship, or account management role. Specific experience with large multi-national corporations or financial institutions including Global/Regional HQ names will be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of global cash management and clearing services, products, and techniques; Strong project management and analytical skills
- Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services; Proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions
- Knowledgeable about our competitors' products and services, strategies, and client relationship practices; Ability to understand a customer's business and the fundamentals of running a business
- Experience in working within a fast-paced work environment with continually changing lines of communication, technological advances etc.; Knowledge of day-to-day workings of a Corporate Treasury environment, foreign exchange, intercompany loans, payroll, and payments; Broad knowledge of HSBC Group companies and product ranges
- The following professional certifications will put you at an advantage: International Cash Management (Cert ICM), Lean Six Sigma, SWIFT Certified

- Drive the GPS business growth for the responsible Commercial Banking Sectors and replicate the sector-driven GPS solutions to specific sector use case for improving the sector penetration
- Feedback to the Global Payments Solutions Product and Digital teams on the competitive market landscape and client specific requirements, to help drive product enhancements and developments as appropriate
- Be creative in driving and supporting sales initiatives cross-products, and with Associations, ecosystem partners, etc to grow new business in target industries; Formulate, support, and drive Commercial Banking & GPS strategies; Be willing to participate in events and speaker engagements, and author articles which raise your individual and the GPS profile
- Work closely with the GPS Implementation, Integration and Client Service teams to ensure smooth transition of client mandate into realised revenues, as well as to provide ongoing coverage in response to clients' evolving challenges
Requirements
To be successful you will need
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, IT or Design
- Payments and Transaction Banking Specialist with experience working on multi-jurisdiction deals, and payment methods like commercial cards, merchant acquiring, and new payments methods preferred
- Working knowledge of Design-Thinking, Agile or similar and enjoys applying these in your client engagement, or a desire to do so
- Able to work under pressure with Key Performance Indicators and in a rapidly evolving environment
- Interest to operate on a cross regional and cross functional basis, and engage the market, industry associations, while being, first-and-foremost, with clients; Highly motivated and achievement driven with an ability to formulate and articulate sales strategies
- Well-developed communication, presentation, problem-solving, and influencing skills; Fluency in written and verbal English, with Cantonese and / or Mandarin preferred

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead P&L responsibilities and advance the firm's Public Relations offering alongside it's other advisory practices
- Lead client development and new business initiatives for listed and non-listed companies across PR, social, and thought leadership
- Serve as day-to-day contact for some of the firm's largest clients in local and regional markets
- Manage team leads on client projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables across Greater China
- Advise clients on critical issues, brand reputation and challenging financial situations
- Create innovative communication strategies and plans to drive client business growth
- Develop and manage the firm's media relations and media database
About the Candidate
- University degree in Public Relations, Media Studies or Finance
- Minimum 10-15 + years of experience in corporate public relations, or investor relations
- Experience working with clients in financial services and technology is also is a MUST.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to think and write creatively and strategically
- Proficiency in written and spoken ENGLISH and CHINESE is a must as this role has both global and regional elements.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and creative spirit
