Job Overview

This role manages the Talent Acquisition team to attract and retain candidates for Swire Hotels. It also oversees internal communication to connect employees across the group and foster engagement. Our team serves as HR business partners for key departments in the Central Support Office, ensuring that the organisation's talent needs are met. Here's the quick lowdown on what you'll do day-to-day:

  • Take a lead on the group talent acquisition according to Swire Hotels people philosophy and brand guideline, including strategies and implementation on recruitment, candidate & onboarding experience
  • Initiate and identify opportunities to expand, connect and manage talent pool through different channels and methodology
  • Drive employer branding strategies and implementation of online and offline activities such as but not limited to social media platform management, career fairs, universities campus talks, etc.
  • Develop hiring strategies to support new hotel opening projects, including identifying talent needs in new markets and tailoring approaches to attract and secure talent effectively
  • Lead the internal communication strategy to connect employees across the group, manage the internal communication app and ensure effective sharing of updates, stories, and fostering engagement to keep teams informed and aligned.
  • Support Director of People & Culture – Team Experience in the role of HR business partner to provide the full spectrum of HR services to key departments in Central Support Office, including recruitment, staffing, talent development, performance management and compensation & benefits
  • Prepare and manage the budget and forecast for achieving optimal manpower planning for Swire Hotels
  • Work closely with different stakeholders, brand ambassadors and all People & Culture teams (in Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and USA) on different initiatives and projects in employer branding, talent acquisition and digital platforms

Requirements

The Non-Negotiables (Must-Haves):

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in talent acquisition strategy and process for full range of position levels
  • Knowledge and experience in employer branding strategies and projects
  • Strong communication and stakeholders management skills
  • Passionate, self-motivated, creative, independent, mature, organised, and with multi-tasking capabilities. Work well in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Mandarin

Key Responsibilities

IMPACT OF THIS ROLE

Job Overview

This role manages the Talent Acquisition team to attract and retain candidates for Swire Hotels. It also oversees internal communication to connect employees across the group and foster engagement. Our team serves as HR business partners for key departments in the Central Support Office, ensuring that the organisation's talent needs are met. Those who are people-orientated and enjoy cultivating relationships with different people will enjoy this role.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome to the core of what being the People & Culture Manager - Talent Acquisition is all about!

Here's the quick lowdown on what you'll do day-to-day:

  • Take a lead on the group talent acquisition according to Swire Hotels people philosophy and brand guideline, including strategies and implementation on recruitment, candidate & onboarding experience
  • Initiate and identify opportunities to expand, connect and manage talent pool through different channels and methodology
  • Drive employer branding strategies and implementation of online and offline activities such as but not limited to social media platform management, career fairs, universities campus talks, etc.
  • Develop hiring strategies to support new hotel opening projects, including identifying talent needs in new markets and tailoring approaches to attract and secure talent effectively
  • Lead the internal communication strategy to connect employees across the group, manage the internal communication app and ensure effective sharing of updates, stories, and fostering engagement to keep teams informed and aligned.
  • Support Director of People & Culture – Team Experience in the role of HR business partner to provide the full spectrum of HR services to key departments in Central Support Office, including recruitment, staffing, talent development, performance management and compensation & benefits
  • Prepare and manage the budget and forecast for achieving optimal manpower planning for Swire Hotels
  • Work closely with different stakeholders, brand ambassadors and all People & Culture teams (in Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and USA) on different initiatives and projects in employer branding, talent acquisition and digital platforms

Requirements

Here's exactly what you need to excel in this role:

The Non-Negotiables (Must-Haves):

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in talent acquisition strategy and process for full range of position levels
  • Knowledge and experience in employer branding strategies and projects
  • Strong communication and stakeholders management skills
  • Passionate, self-motivated, creative, independent, mature, organised, and with multi-tasking capabilities. Work well in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Mandarin

The Cherries on Top (Nice-to-Haves):

  • A bachelor degree in Human Resources/ Brand & Communications/ Marketing/ Creative Media or related discipline
  • Experience in HR marketing, visual graphics, videos and content creation. Skills on using camera/ video equipment
  • Digital savvy on key social media channels, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, Weibo etc

IMPACT OF THIS ROLE
Act as the primary contact on all Talent and Culture matters in the company headquarters, to establish and implement Talent and Culture strategies and initiatives and enhance operations efficiency in the office. You will work closely with corporate division heads to influence and steer talent and culture strategies, and deliver professional services that align with and support business objectives
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic HR support to the Hong Kong global office, aligning talent initiatives with business objectives to drive growth and operational excellence.
  • Extend a full range of business partners and advisory support to business stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, and revamp corporate and hotel talent and culture processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain the data accuracy of the Human Resources information system and take the lead in system enhancement projects.
  • Oversee talent and culture operations, including onboarding and separation for the corporate office (e.g., contract preparation, visa application, benefits administration).
  • Provide guidance on Hong Kong labor law compliance.
  • Ensure the accuracy and correctness of operations and collaborate with the payroll team to confirm the accuracy of payroll.
  • Work closely with management and employees to drive employee engagement, build morale, and increase productivity.
  • Engage associates through the onboarding and offboarding process and analyze exit interview and onboarding survey results.
  • Design and lead activities in the global office to engage and retain associates, promote the culture, and liaise with impact initiatives.
  • Provide support for projects related to APAC region properties and global corporate office locations.
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador always and ensure brand integrity and clarity are always maintained. Model the corporate culture, vision, mission, and core values of Rosewood Hotel Group.

Critical Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and above in either Human Resources Management, Organization Development, Training Management, Hotel Management, Industrial Psychology, or related discipline.
  • 7 + years HR experience within hospitality / retail or service industry. International mindset and experience in working with diverse team and high cultural sensitivity.
  • High personal integrity. Is bold and prepared to challenge behavior inconsistent with the company values.

  • A high-touch, resilient personality and tenacious approach.
  • Rich experience and knowledge of all HR disciplines with emphasis on Hongkong Labor management and compliance, Work Council negotiations, Labor Laws, Associate Relations etc.
