Role Summary
The Performance Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing quantitative investment analysis and performance analysis utilizing a variety of data-oriented systems, tools and financial databases. The position has a charter to support the relevant quantitative analytical needs of Investment Management and internal reporting teams. Provides in-depth technical and broad subject matter expertise over critical and complex performance and statistical functions. Responsible to deliver performance and attribution reporting services to the local office and its clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret investment-related data to help inform Investment Management’s decision-making process and support operational capabilities to deliver performance services for new clients and for complex products and /or securities. An ability to utilize a wide variety of investment and performance and attribution tools, as well as to develop custom solutions is required.
- Demonstrates mastery of analytical methods and tools by responding to complex ad-hoc analytical and reporting requests on daily basis from Investment Management and Global Client reporting teams.
- Serves as an escalation point for any issues or questions that arise from a systems or business process perspective. Responsible for managing relationships with affected parties on progress or issues to ensure deadlines and expectations are met.
- Responsible for documenting unique regional requirements, both current and long-term performance needs, establish priorities, set expectations, seek feedback and exercise influence and expertise to lead appropriate actions or strategies for addressing these concerns within the larger performance organization.
- Responsible for delivering timely attribution reports (equity, fixed income and multi-asset), investigating and explaining anomalous or unexpected attribution results, and collaborating with investment team to analyze the impact of investment decisions on performance. Supports client reporting by providing insightful attribution analysis.
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 5+ years of total relevant work experience
- Demonstrated technical or industry knowledge
- Technical knowledge of performance, GIPS, and global financial markets and processes
- CIPM or CFA certification is preferable
- Advanced Excel skills; Knowledge in SQL
- Experience in performance and attributions systems like Factset PA, Bloomberg PORT
- Knowledge in Power BI, Python and R is preferred
- Must work well independently and take initiative with assigned projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Understanding of business software/systems analysis techniques

Candidates should have proven experience working in a fast-paced research environment, excellent qualitative analytical skills, and a track record of producing high quality research for use in a commercial setting. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of the region’s business and political environments, as well as an innate sense of curiosity about international affairs, public policy and global markets more generally.
Key Responsibilities
The exact responsibilities will vary depending on the role offered. However, we broadly look for the below skills when considering applicants for all our positions:
- Manage complex open source and human intelligence-led investigative assignments (including pre-transactional integrity due diligence checks and other bespoke investigations);
- Write concise and cogent reports that weave in research findings with an in-depth contextualized analysis of key issues and other pertinent findings;
- Deliver written and verbal briefings to senior management and clients on research findings;
- Prepare proposals for new business;
- Support the development of Anthesis Business Intelligence’s human source network in Asia; and
- Once comfortable with Anthesis Business Intelligence’s house style and research methodologies, assist in training new team members and proofreading reports.
We require as a minimum these qualifications and experience:
- Fluency reading and writing English in a commercial context and at least one key regional language;
- 1-6 years’ full-time post-graduate work experience in the corporate intelligence industry and/or another relevant investigative background;
- Experience using open source research tools such as LexisNexis and Factiva, as well as regional and language-specific databases and media sources;
- Ability to plan and manage multifaceted research projects from the proposal stage to delivering our work to the client;
- A working knowledge of financial, commercial and legal concepts;
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university; and
- Professional proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.

Description
Candidates should have proven experience working in a fast-paced research environment, excellent qualitative analytical skills, and a track record of producing high quality research for use in a commercial setting. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of the region’s business and political environments, as well as an innate sense of curiosity about international affairs, public policy and global markets more generally.
Key Responsibilities
The exact responsibilities will vary depending on the role offered. However, we broadly look for the below skills when considering applicants for all our positions:
- Manage complex open source and human intelligence-led investigative assignments (including pre-transactional integrity due diligence checks and other bespoke investigations);
- Write concise and cogent reports that weave in research findings with an in-depth contextualized analysis of key issues and other pertinent findings;
- Deliver written and verbal briefings to senior management and clients on research findings;
- Prepare proposals for new business;
- Support the development of Anthesis Business Intelligence’s human source network in Asia; and
- Once comfortable with Anthesis Business Intelligence’s house style and research methodologies, assist in training new team members and proofreading reports.
We require as a minimum these qualifications and experience:
- Fluency reading and writing English in a commercial context and at least one key regional language;
- 1-6 years’ full-time post-graduate work experience in the corporate intelligence industry and/or another relevant investigative background;
- Experience using open source research tools such as LexisNexis and Factiva, as well as regional and language-specific databases and media sources;
- Ability to plan and manage multifaceted research projects from the proposal stage to delivering our work to the client;
- A working knowledge of financial, commercial and legal concepts;
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university; and
- Professional proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- A proactive, can-do mindset and willingness to work outside job specifications when required;
- An ability to thrive under pressure and work to tight deadlines;
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in all areas of work; and
- Respond well to development feedback.
