The Officer, Product specialist (Cards Portfolio Management) is an intermediate level position responsible for driving the growth and profitability of product by developing and executing strategic initiatives, marketing campaigns, and ensuring superior customer experience. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to acquire new users, risk management, revenue optimization while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Assess relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies to improve client experience and portfolio growth
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support managing end to end card product lifecycle, including pricing, features and promotions
  • Provide insight and recommendations on innovative product development, product targeting, and segmentation strategies as well as oversee aspects of product development life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
  • Provide insight and execute on core marketing disciplines such as product development, price, promotions, platform and pillars, launching, and marketing to improve client experience and portfolio growth
  • Work closely with marketing teams to design and execute campaigns to drive adoption of fee paying services / features
  • Project manage product enhancement projects which includes gathering business requirement, reviewing test plan, verify test results and monitor post launch performance, while adhering to internal governance and policy requirement.
  • Manage Work closely with technology and operations to manage product enhancements projects from providing business requirement
  • Participate in budgeting and planning for strategic priorities and initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Cross functional knowledge (e.g. marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, analytics)
  • Ability to drive business innovation, leverage management information, and utilize data analytics to drive results
  • Experience in UAT/ PAT testing, working with technology
  • Demonstrated knowledge in managing KPI and good financial acumen
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication for stakeholder management

About the Role

You will take ownership of Corporate Solutions (CS) pricing and portfolio management policy and associated technical standards, while also being responsible for the design of reporting/monitoring frameworks to ensure compliance across Local Business Unit (LBU). In addition, you will champion the CS initiatives and goals that have been committed to by LBUs and provide technical advice and support to help realise them. You will also contribute to the development and execution of Regional Corporate Solutions strategy to maintain and build on AIA’s regional position as market leader. You will build a lean and effective centre-of-excellence that enables sharing of value adding best practices with LBUs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Champion benefits of AIA top-down strategic initiatives and secure LBU CS management support for inclusion in country strategic initiative pipeline and strategic business plan
  • Negotiate with internal counterparties balancing CS contribution to overall company targets against need for baseline resource to ensure initiative success and growth of business.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the pricing and portfolio management team through the formulation of strategic goals and technical outcomes to be achieved through projects and regular LBU technical team engagement and prioritize resources for initiatives.
  • Evaluate risk/benefit tradeoffs and settle technical decisions to guide development of underwriting standards and design of enforcement frameworks
  • Provide expert technical support for LBUs and Group Corporate Solutions (GCS); for business-as-usual and drive the innovation and change agenda (e.g. Corporate Vitality, multi-year pricing, CS to Voluntary Solutions incentivisation in Agency)
  • Understand the commercial themes in each LBU and provide practical strategies tailor-made for each market, channel and segments
  • Understand the commercial themes of the MNC business and provide necessary technical and pricing support to achieve desired Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Set technical standards and corresponding risk governance and oversight
  • Identify the technical constraints, gaps and needs of LBUs
  • Enhance local technical capability learning, development and related operational capability in LBUs to better achieve KPIs
  • Work together with LBUs to address the needs to execute sustainable technical solutions, including automation and digitalisation (e.g. Quote engines, i-renewal etc.)
  • Prioritise initiatives and resource allocation by scale of likely benefit
  • Lead regular pricing and portfolio review discussions with local CS teams to maintain performance on track
  • Drive new product proposition from regional and local perspective where appropriate.
  • Support strategic direction from AIA senior management through proposal of potential initiatives to LBU CS heads
  • Promote the benefits of GCS initiatives among Group Office (GO)/LBU functional areas and ensure understanding of CS support needs and resource commitment to ensure achievement of initiatives aims and targets

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Actuarial or highly numerate focus (Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
  • Fellowship of Internationally recognized Actuarial association (SOA, IAAust, IFoA, etc.) with minimum 15 years experience in Life Insurance
  • Insurance and Financial Services with significant senior management/leadership experience
  • Demonstrated development and execution of strategies and tactics.
  • Highly developed relationship-building skills to foster effective working relationship with senior management and partners.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Broad exposure to a combination of the following business disciplines; finance, marketing, strategy, customer service, operations, distribution, product
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Sound understanding of insurance related financial metrics

  • Understand the commercial themes in each LBU and provide practical strategies tailor-made for each market, channel and segments
  • Understand the commercial themes of the MNC business and provide necessary technical and pricing support to achieve desired Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Identify the technical constraints, gaps and needs of LBUs
  • Enhance local technical capability learning, development and related operational capability in LBUs to better achieve KPIs

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Degree in Actuarial or highly numerate focus (Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
  • Fellowship of Internationally recognized Actuarial association (SOA, IAAust, IFoA, etc.) with minimum 15 years experience in Life Insurance
  • Insurance and Financial Services with significant senior management/leadership experience
  • Demonstrated development and execution of strategies and tactics.
  • Highly developed relationship-building skills to foster effective working relationship with senior management and partners.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Broad exposure to a combination of the following business disciplines; finance, marketing, strategy, customer service, operations, distribution, product

Background to the IGA team

The candidate will be joining the IGA team in supporting clients from initial analysis and project evaluation through to procurement, financial close, construction and operations under three workstreams of services:

We are seeking a candidate to join our IGA team primarily within the P3M workstream, to address some of the most complex challenges in infrastructure and the built-asset environment.

Our P3M workstream comprises three core areas:

  • Industry transformation: We advise government and public authorities on project delivery; providing strategic advice in procurement approaches; organization and delivery model design; commercial and assurance strategies; communication and promotion strategies; stakeholder management; capability and capacity assessments; project and programme controls; and PMO design and implementation.
  • Project delivery optimization: We advise private sector clients on transforming the way they deliver projects in the public and private sector. This includes assessing and optimizing project management frameworks, procurement, enhancing project governance structures and implementing best practices in project execution.
  • Digital and data transformation and High Productivity Construction (HPC): We advise on digital, technology and innovative construction recommendations that are transforming the construction industry and major programmes, including: Modular Integrated Construction (MiC); Multi-trade Integrated Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MiMEP), and advancing technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).

  • Experience in delivery or advisory roles within industry, government or a consultancy (major professional services firms, consulting practices or specialist firms)
  • Experience in delivering expert project, programme or wider industry transformation

We seek candidates with the following knowledge/ skills:

  • Deep understanding of the technical and management aspects of the infrastructure project delivery lifecycle
  • Familiarity with construction data sets such as schedule, cost, health and safety, environmental quality (HSEQ), contract, risk, and finance
  • Experience with digital tools and approaches in the construction and infrastructure sectors, including knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and other data management systems
  • Experience in procurement processes and contract administration using contract forms used in Hong Kong (e.g., NEC)

  • Assist in developing strategy/fund documentation, including private placement memoranda, partnership agreements, and investment advisory agreements; execute capital raising plans.
  • Evaluate and oversee acquisitions, asset management, development, and disposition activities, including sustainability integration, to meet client/fund objectives.
  • Review and recommend multi-year portfolio strategies, including hold/sell decisions.
  • Manage liquidity requirements, distributions, reserves, and funding sources.
  • Manage investment risks including exposure, concentration, counterparty, tenant, leasing, credit, interest rate, foreign currency, and political risks.
  • Review annual business plans, leasing, capital, and operating budgets.
  • Support capital raising through engagement with clients, consultants, and relationship managers throughout the process.
  • Review and communicate portfolio performance and updates to clients and internal teams.
Qualifications & Skills
  • At least 15 years of institutional real estate acquisitions and asset/portfolio management experience across sectors like living, industrial/logistics, office, retail, and hotels, with a strong track record in value-add/opportunistic strategies.
  • Minimum of 10 years investing in key Asia Pacific real estate markets.
  • Experience working with internal transaction teams, joint venture partners, operators, and third-party service providers.
  • Proven success in capital raising from global institutional investors and private channels.
  • Strong analytical, investment judgment, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to train and develop junior team members.
  • Thorough understanding of real estate investment structures.
Preferred Skills
  • Fluency in Japanese and Korean is a plus.

Location: Hong Kong or Singapore preferred. Extensive travel within Asia Pacific required.
