Job Summary
The role of Group Public & Regulatory Affairs (GPRA) which sits within the Compliance, Financial Crime and Conduct Risk (CFCR) organization is to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, driving the alignment of the Bank's strategy and global public policy, regulatory and supervisory objectives. The remit of the Group covers policy, regulatory and supervisory issues emanating in key markets and developing engagement strategies that position the Bank in a constructive manner.

GPRA is organised internally into three teams: 1) Government Affairs; 2) Group Regulatory Engagement; and 3) Strategic Policy Insights.

The Executive Director (ED), Head of Government Affairs for Greater China North Asia (GCNA) sits within the Global Government Affairs team and works under the supervision of the Global Head of Government Affairs. The Executive Director collaborates with other CFCR and GPRA teams, namely Group Regulatory Engagement, and Strategic Policy Insights as well as business partners across the region to deliver systematic and strategic government engagement and insights in support of business outcomes consistent with government policy.

Responsibilities
The ED is responsible for supporting the Global Head of Government Affairs with designing and implementing the Bank's government and policy engagement strategy in mainland China, Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Hong Kong SAR. The ED will also support policy and government engagement across our other North Asia markets such as Japan and Korea.

Research Associate / Research Assistant (several posts)

(Ref. No.: AiDLab/P2.3/R

(Appointment period: 12 months initially, with possibility of further appointment)

The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project – "Intelligent Garment Inspection System".

Duties (Post 1)

(1) Developing algorithms and models for inspection

(2) Programming inspection features and functions

(3) Testing the system prototypes in real life manufacturing environment

(4) Documenting the system architecture, process and implementation

(5) Liaising with collaborating companies in the industry for collecting their requirements and arranging testing

(6) Performing any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.

Qualifications (Post 1)

Applicants for the Research Associate post should have a master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering or other related disciplines with three or more years of research/relevant work experience.

Applicants for the Research Assistant post should have an honours degree in one of the afore- mentioned or other related disciplines.

Duties (Post 2)

(1) Liaising with collaborating companies in the industry for collecting their requirements and arranging testing.

(2) Testing the system prototypes developed by the project team in real life manufacturing environment.

(3) Documenting the testing performance of the system prototypes in trial sites.

(4) Performing any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.

Qualifications (Post 2)

Applicants should have an honours degree in fashion, textiles, or other related disciplines with solid knowledge of textile materials, garment and textile manufacture.

  • Execute the company's technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Conduct research and development (R&D) in cooling technologies and smart materials.
  • Write and review research reports, proposals, and project documentation.
  • Conduct research, data collection, and analysis, ensuring timely submission of findings.
  • Conduct laboratory work related to materials science and product development.
  • Finish outdoor research activities and site visits for data collection and testing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.
  • Experience in cooling systems, smart materials, thermodynamics, or sustainable energy is highly recommended.
  • Strong skills in innovation, data analysis, and report writing.
