Research Fellow (Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a research administration team as the Central Administrator of the Herb-Drug Interaction International Research Consortium (HDIIRC);
  • Supervise and monitor the implementation and operation of the HDIIRC and Hong Kong platform;
  • Consolidate, evaluate and cross-validate relevant scientific results and findings, and related projects contributed by the member organisations of HDIIRC and the Hong Kong platform under a well-devised systematic administration mechanism;
  • Engage with the member organisations of HDIIRC and Hong Kong platform by hosting regular meetings and report the collaboration progress to relevant bodies;
  • Assist in setting up long-term plan for promoting sustainable development, updating, dissemination and implementation of herb-drug interaction (HDI) clinical practice guideline (CPG) locally and internationally;

  • Assist in managing and overseeing the HDIIRC initiatives including international meetings, workshops, conferences and seminars to disseminate research findings and engage with global stakeholders;

Requirements:

  • Applicants should possess a PhD in Toxicology, Epidemiology, Chinese Medicine, Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine, or other background including Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Biostatistics or healthcare-related disciplines;
  • At least 4 years of post-doctoral working experience in research administration, research, teaching and training with relevance in the fields of toxicology, clinical research or clinical practice guidelines development;
  • Experience in the hospital/healthcare industry is preferred;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
  • Proficient in MS Office applications;
  • Proficient in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) would be an advantage;

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow / Research Assistant (AI for Healthcare) (PR0733/22-23)
Responsibilities
The appointees will be expected to assist in various research projects on AI for Healthcare. Topics include automatic generation of medical reports, patient motion analysis, and treatment effect estimation. The exact project to work on depends on the appointee's experience.

Requirements
Applicants for the Postdoctoral post should have a PhD degree in areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision or other related disciplines, and must have no more than three years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.

Applicants for the Research Assistant post should have an honors degree or above in one of the aforementioned or other related disciplines.

Applicants are expected to have experience in developing machine learning algoirithms in PyTorch/TensorFlow. Prior experience in working on EHR data, medical images, computer vision, video analytics and/or casual inference is a plus.

The successful applicant will be offered a one-year appointment. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and funding availability.

Research Fellow – Department of Supply Chain and Information Management

Responsibilities

  • perform research development, statistical analysis, optimisation modelling, and programming simulation;

  • organise and contribute to research conferences and publish work in journals; and

  • assist with administration, documentation, event management and coordination.

Applicants Should

  • possess a recognised doctoral degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering, preferably with 1 - 2 years of relevant working experience;

  • have knowledge of life cycle assessment, supply chain, maritime, aviation, statistics, and risk management;

  • possess skills in simulation modelling, programming, optimisation and statistical analysis;

  • have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and

  • be a fast learner, self-motivated, a good team player and able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
