Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineering and technical staff or contractor to execute high voltage and low voltage asset replacement works
- Review work programme, method statement, design submission, commissioning procedure, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manual, and contingency plan in compliance with the project and site requirement
- Undertake administration of project documents, site records and as-built drawings
- Ensure work safety and quality in compliance with corporate, contract and statutory requirements
- Identify and resolve on-site technical problems and conflicts with other parties
- Coordinate with other departments on work execution to ensure safe and reliable railway operation
- Perform duties for other projects, operation interface or maintenance works when required
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in high voltage (HV) / overhead line (OHL) / traction power system asset replacement, testing and commissioning, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
- Possession of Corporate Membership of a professional institution in a related discipline, Grade "C" or "H" Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker and a valid Hong Kong driving licence Class 1 and 2 are preferred
- Sound knowledge of operation and maintenance of railway supply equipment is an advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Remarks
- Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
- Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
- Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations

- Lead a team of supervisors and technical staff to manage maintenance, service recovery and renewal & modification works of high voltage (HV) / overhead line (OHL) / traction power systems, up to and including 25kV / 1500V / 750V traction, 33kV / 11kV /3.3kV three-phase AC power supply systems as well as low voltage distribution and trackside auxiliary equipment
- Monitor the performance of contractors and coordinate with different stakeholders for smooth implementation of maintenance works and performance
- Resolve technical problems and conduct technical investigation / analysis
- Perform testing and commissioning, review technology application and formulate maintenance strategies and work instructions / standards

We are looking for high caliber professional to join our Cable O&M Section under Circuits Branch of Transmission Department. Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
- Supervise operation & maintenance, repair and improvement projects of various transmission assets up to 400kV
- Carry out fault / defect investigation, diagnosis, analysis and repairs as well as prepare related detailed reports
- Assist in preparing feasibility study, budget, design and engineering of transmission improvement / renovation projects in accordance with statutory, safety, technical, cost, quality, and customer requirements
- Assist in application and monitoring of statutory permits and liaising with external parties
- Assist in planning, monitoring and controlling project activities and implementing control procedures and practices in accordance with the Company's management systems of health, safety, security, environment and quality (HSSEQ)
- Assist in management of contractor activities, negotiation and attending site meetings with various stakeholders for different infrastructure and external projects
- Ensure proper record update in various management systems
- Perform standby duty after normal office hours and during adverse weather condition / typhoon period, and carry out emergency repairs as and when required
Requirements:
- A recognized university degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years' relevant experience in project management
- Familiarity with CLP Power Safety Rules, engineering standards and codes of practice is preferable
- Good safety awareness and mindset
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadline
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage
- Customer-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player

NTS, a leading APM (Automated People Mover) project developer got awarded a project of the Existing APM system Modification Works in Hong Kong airport with Contract name of 3602. NTS scope is to successfully provide a modification work to the existing Client's premises with 6 Stages works including depot and provide also a new system in the extended tunnel from design to T&C.
Project Progress status:
As of February 2025, this project had completed design works and installation / construction/test &commissioning for Stage 2. Currently This project is under Stage 3.
Role / Key responsibility:
Electrical engineer under guidance and supervision of Engineering Manager is to be representative of NTS power supply system and be responsible for reviewing and coordinating the design/installation/and T&C works, which are to be carried out by the system supplier (MTRC) for TPS(Traction Power Supply System), Comms(Communication System), SCADA and IDS(Intrusion Detection System) with the following roles under;
- He/she is to be responsible for reviewing design of TPS (Traction Power System-600V AC), Comms., SCADA and IDS.
- He/she is to be responsible for supporting system supplier to develop installation method statement development and to install TPS, Comms., SCADA and IDS.
- He/she is to be responsible for coordinating FAT, SAT and T/C for the systems with System supplier.
- He/she is to be responsible for supporting system supplier to develop operation & maintenance manual and to provide training to operation and maintenance staff of O&M company.
