Job Duties
- Drive product strategy, ideation, and roadmap development for the SaaS marketplace, focusing on merchant-centric solutions.
- Deeply understand merchant needs, workflows, and pain points, especially around POS and related operational tools.
- Identify and evaluate new partner integrations (e.g., accounting, POS, inventory management) to expand marketplace offerings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, sales, operations, marketing, partners) and external vendors to deliver impactful merchant solutions.
- Set key metrics, analyze market trends, gather user feedback, and iterate to optimize product-market fit.
- Act as the subject matter expert on merchant operations to ensure the marketplace supports real-world workflows from the counter to the back office.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners to support onboarding and ongoing marketplace success.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in product strategy, management, or marketplace roles within SaaS, Fintech, retail tech, or F&B tech.
- Deep understanding of merchant operations, POS systems, or SaaS products.
- Track record of shipping merchant-facing products with measurable business impact.
- Ability to manage vendor and partner relationships.
- Experience managing product P&L, setting KPIs, and driving financial performance.
- Strategic, data-driven approach to market adoption and growth.

ROLE PROFILE
The Product Manager, Sustainable Products, APAC plays a key supporting role within a strategically important global team in a dynamic and rapidly growing business. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Sustainable Product, APAC. The Product Manager is responsible for managing and evolving sustainable products—across index, data, and analytics—and for engaging with clients, particularly in Japan, to understand their sustainability goals and challenges.
As a key member of the team, the Product Manager collaborates closely with the broader Sustainable team, as well as with Sales, Marketing, Index Research, and Data Solutions, to deliver the sustainable product roadmap, manage product lifecycles, and meet client needs across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting product innovation, execution, and lifecycle management across index, data, and analytics, aligned with both tactical and long-term goals.
- Assisting in the design and development of sustainable product propositions that address identified client and market needs.
- Contributing to the sustainable product roadmap and prioritising tasks to align with strategic objectives.

Job Description
As a Vice President, Product Development, your main responsibilities will include:
- Support the team head in overseeing the full product development lifecycle-from contributing strategic insights aligned with regional and global objectives to managing and resolving post-launch issues.
- Participate in product design aligned with business strategies across both local and international markets, and implement initiatives to drive product innovation and growth.
- Coordinate product initiatives by collaborating with key internal stakeholders, including the investment, risk management, compliance, sales & marketing, and finance teams, as well as external service providers, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing management.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of the product suite, such as introducing new share classes or adapting to regulatory changes.
- Review and streamline existing workflows to improve the efficiency of product development and operational processes, ensuring readiness for new or enhanced product offerings.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory developments that may impact product launches or the existing product range, and communicate relevant updates internally.
A Successful Vice President, Product Development Should Have
- Bachelor's degree or above, with substantial experience in the asset management industry.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product development.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing fund structures across various jurisdictions.
- Broad knowledge of investment products, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, quantitative strategies, and ETFs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proven project management capabilities with a track record of delivering results.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Competitive annual salary in the range of HKD 72000 to 84000.
