About The Opportunity
Nethermind is seeking an experienced technical leader to drive our product innovation and engineering excellence across Asia-Pacific. Reporting to the APAC Regional Managing Director (RMD), you'll lead the technical execution of our regional strategy while building world-class products that bridge blockchain and AI technologies for enterprise clients.
This is a senior technical leadership role where you'll have significant autonomy over product and engineering decisions while working closely with regional leadership to achieve our ambitious growth targets. Key Responsibilities:
Technical Product Leadership
- Define and execute the technical product roadmap aligned with APAC business strategy
- Lead product development lifecycle from ideation to launch for 1 flagship product
- Make technical decisions on architecture, tech stack, and feature prioritization
- Work with the Regional Managing Director to ensure products meet market requirements
- Create technical IP in blockchain/AI convergence
- Assemble and/or Build and lead a team of engineers and product managers across APAC
- Manage engineering hiring, performance, and retention in collaboration with regional leadership
- Define engineering standards, development methodologies, and quality benchmarks
- Manage technical budget allocation within approved R&D budget
- Provide technical expertise to support the Regional Managing Director's business development efforts
- Lead technical due diligence for partnerships identified by regional leadership

Essential Experience
- 8+ years in technical product management and/or engineering leadership roles
- 5+ years working in APAC markets with understanding of regional technical requirements
- Proven track record of shipping enterprise products and scaling engineering teams
- Experience building and leading distributed teams of 20+ engineers
- Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, with blockchain experience preferred
- Track record of supporting business growth through technical excellence
- Strong foundation in distributed systems, cryptography, and consensus mechanisms
- Understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contracts, and DeFi protocols
- Familiarity with AI/ML systems and their intersection with blockchain
- Ability to architect systems for enterprise-grade reliability and scale
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern engineering practices

- Assisting in providing Quality/Technical support to Sales and Program Management, including defining quality guidelines for new ranges prior to launch.
- Helping to investigate product issues and working with the Quality Manager and suppliers to identify root causes and implement appropriate actions.
- Helping to build strong relationships with our external service providers, licensor technical teams, and internal global clients to ensure timely and accurate technical support and communication of requirements.
- Reviewing brand-partner and client quality requirements to ensure they are understood by all parties and incorporated into Quality Management plans as required.
- Striving to help establish efficiencies in ways of working within the Quality department by standardizing documentation and processes where possible.
- Supporting efforts to limit the number of quality complaints from local offices/markets and communicating information back into the system to ensure corrective actions are completed and validated.
- 5-10 years of experience in similar roles within manufacturing, laboratory, trading, or retail industries.
- Degree holder in a related discipline (Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent).

Job Description
- Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from initial concept through to final production, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
- Collaborate closely with design, procurement, and supply chain teams to align on project deliverable and ensure seamless execution.
- Conduct in-depth market research to stay ahead of industry trends and integrate innovative ideas into the product portfolio.
- Liaise with suppliers to source high-quality materials and negotiate favourable terms and pricing.
- Oversee production schedules, proactively addressing any issues to ensure timely delivery and minimal disruption.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including product specifications, approvals, and cost analyses, to support transparency and traceability.
- Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and internal standards throughout the development process.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, key milestones, and potential risks.
- A strong background in product development within the FMCG or E-commerce industry, particularly in fashion or apparel.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Solid experience in women bottoms, including skirts and dresses are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- Good understanding of current market trends and consumer preferences.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with stakeholders and vendors.
- A competitive annual salary package in the range of HKD 540,000 to 660,000.

Job Description
As a Vice President, Product Development, your main responsibilities will include:
- Support the team head in overseeing the full product development lifecycle-from contributing strategic insights aligned with regional and global objectives to managing and resolving post-launch issues.
- Participate in product design aligned with business strategies across both local and international markets, and implement initiatives to drive product innovation and growth.
- Coordinate product initiatives by collaborating with key internal stakeholders, including the investment, risk management, compliance, sales & marketing, and finance teams, as well as external service providers, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing management.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of the product suite, such as introducing new share classes or adapting to regulatory changes.
- Review and streamline existing workflows to improve the efficiency of product development and operational processes, ensuring readiness for new or enhanced product offerings.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory developments that may impact product launches or the existing product range, and communicate relevant updates internally.
A Successful Vice President, Product Development Should Have
- Bachelor's degree or above, with substantial experience in the asset management industry.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product development.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing fund structures across various jurisdictions.
- Broad knowledge of investment products, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, quantitative strategies, and ETFs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proven project management capabilities with a track record of delivering results.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Competitive annual salary in the range of HKD 72000 to 84000.
