Experience Storage Consultant provides storage design and implementation services to Hitachi enterprise customers for mission critical applications.
Successful candidates will build and upgrade systems with a mind-set towards enabling and supporting storage operations including adherence to professional project and change processes and designing infrastructure with operational objectives of availability, performance, security and utilization in mind.
As part of a project team, excellent teamwork and communication skills are expected. Responsibilities
Provide implementation services for Hitachi Block, File and Object storage, Brocade and CISCO storage and network infrastructure inclusive of production, DR and backup environments.
Provide implementation services for Veeam and Commvault backup solution.
Plan and execute data or fabric migration.
Provide implementation design where necessary.
Liaise with vendors and other teams as necessary for project implementations.
Setup monitoring and management software.
Work to professional project management and change management processes.
Conduct testing, documentation and skill transfer.
Troubleshoot problems and issues during implementation.
Ability to automate tasks with scripting may be helpful.
Profile
At least 8 years' experience within complex IT environments including storage and backup management and provisioning.
Rich experience on block, file and object storage management, provisioning and replication technologies.
Familiar with Windows, Linux, UNIX and VMware operating system.
Hitachi Vantara Certification for block, file and object storage is preferred.
Skills and experience on 3rd party storage products such as NETAPP and EMC is preferred.
Programming and stats skill is an advantage.
Fluent Cantonese and English.
Bachelor's degree is a must.
