Job title: Full Time Storage Consultant
Reporting to: Customer’s Storage Team Manager
Work location: Customer’s office

Job purpose:
Reporting to the customer’s Storage Team Manager, this individual will provide production support and maintenance services for HV products. He/She will also provide advice on how to acquire technology solutions that are aligned with their business strategy and processes. He/She will work with different teams to support the storage services provided to their clients. He/She will be responsible for Transition and Transformation services, day to day support, troubleshooting, diagnosis, maintenance and service improvements. The Candidate is a team player, a motivator and a problem solver, able to analyse complex problems and form workable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide production support and maintenance services for Hitachi VSP 5x00, VSP G/F series, VSP, USPV, HNAS, HCP, Brocade SAN network directors & switches, Cisco MDS SAN directors & switches.
  2. Liaise and cooperate with vendors on SAN device firmware or microcode management.
  3. Work with customer on Technology Refresh, Data Migration, Server Relocation, Data Center Maintenance or Business Continuity Process validation.
  4. Support storage related performance monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning.
  5. Perform change and problem management in detail and follow company standards.
  6. Manage incident & change according to ITIL standard.
  7. Prepare quarterly performance reports for Hitachi storage systems and ad hoc performance reports when needed.
  8. Develop and implement program and/or script, task automation to enhance monitoring/reporting/troubleshooting/health check procedure.
  9. Performance review against users/SLA requirements and optimize system performance by establishing appropriate storage system and SAN network configuration changes.

Profile:
• At least 8 years’ experience within complex IT environments including storage management and provisioning.
• Rich experience on block, file and object storage management, provisioning and replication operations. Familiar with Hitachi/Brocade/Cisco management products including but not limited to SN, HCS, Ops Center, SNM2, CCI, REST API, HDLM, BNA, SANnav, Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC).
• Familiar with Windows, Linux, UNIX and VMware operating system.
• Hitachi Vantara Certification for block, file and object storage is preferred.
• Skills and experience on 3rd party products and solutions, such as Huawei, EMC, IBM AIX, Mainframe, Veritas Netbackup is preferred.
• Programming and stats skill is an advantage – Perl/Python and R programming, anomaly detection with different statistical models. Performance classification using different approaches like KNN / iForest/ One-class SVM.
• Fluent Cantonese and English.
• Bachelor degree is a must.
In addition to the technical skills above, the successful candidate will have clear and concise written and oral communication skills, able to provide feedback in a positive and constructive manner and able to operate effectively in a demanding environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
The GPO Project Consultant provides consulting expertise to implement changes and solutions in the payment business. You will be required to represent payment operations in projects defining requirements, conducting analysis with data, identifying and limiting impacts and risks, overseeing quality assurance, managing resources and ultimately delivering changes and solutions for the payment domain. This role requires a thorough knowledge of the operations area where you will be able to assess and analyze the impact of new initiatives to the team.
You will join a close-knit and industrious team of professionals in our GPO organization where you will be responsible for:
+ Driving the end-to-end integration of various work streams in order to deliver the intended project scope and solution including requirements gathering, data mapping, project execution, integration and implementation.
+ Developing project plans managing and aligning resources to key project roles.
+ Directing the work efforts of resources that may be functionally aligned as part of the project.
+ Connecting with internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholders to escalate, discuss and debate issues and challenges.
+ Establishing clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities across project participants including others outside of operations that may become involved or impacted by the project.
+ Leading risk management and mitigation planning readiness, change adoption, stakeholder management, and quality assurance.
+ Ensuring all applicable change requirements are satisfied.
